If you want to talk to staff, you need to go to the other building! Other than that, location was prime to the train station, lots of restaurants nearby, and felt quite safe! The room was a little tight, but for a short stay worked out perfectly for us.

Best location in Zurich - Fred Hotels

Location, location, location!!! Across street from main train station Zurich AND Bus Station where all tours begin! Plus a reasonable cafe with delicious dinners next to Starbucks on the corner. We took the train to & from the airport and walked to Fred Hotel. Several trams stop right there also. Most convenient stay ever anywhere!

The staff are quick to respond to questions, requests & assistance viq whatsapp. Breakfast is amazing! Guest house has not AC but there is a dyson fan available - we opened the windows & it cooled down quickly. The elevator is the smallest elevator I have seen- it is claustrophaubic, it only fits 3 people otherwise 1 person with luggages😊. Great location - minutes away from the train station & bus station👍👍 most of our tours starts from this station so we saved time. Overall, we had a comfortable stay at Fred Guest house. Thank you for all the assistance booking us a last minute Lindt Museum tour😊 we had a great time.

I had a guest house room which was very basic. I did not like it. The TV did not work and the space was tight. The elevator was very small and narrow. It was not worth the high price i paid but hotels are expensive in zurich.

Clean hotel with a great location next to the train station. Our room was very warm, it did eventually cool down with the windows open however, there are several bars/restaurants open late nearby so it can be noisy. Also frustrating, was we talked to the management about how stuffy the room was, and they suggested closing the blackout blinds which we had done...when we got back that evening housekeeping had opened the blinds leaving us with a very hot room. The check-in process is also a bit quirky. They only asked for payment (and never confirmed that electronically), no keyless access was provided. Easy to get a key from the hotel next door but a bit inconvenient with one key for three people. Never did get a notification that our keyless access was available. Overall, ok for a short stay during cooler weather.

Great hotel with incredible views and a peaceful atmosphere. Stayed here for over a week. The staff were all very kind and professional, but I especially want to give a huge shoutout to Claire. She was absolutely wonderful — always so friendly, attentive, and caring during the daily breakfast. She made sure my mom was taken care of.It really made a difference in our stay. Thank you, Claire!

Staff hospitable and supportive. Excellent location to reach central train station, tour bus and trams across hotel, breakfast with good variety of hot/cold food and available until 10am. Stayed at the hotel side, and paid extra to bigger room. During daytime, easy to locate - beside Starbucks. Nighttime, you need google maps to locate place.
