Pousada do Marvão - Charming Hotel
I highly recommend a stay at this historic property in Marvão. It has an old world charm and the amenities are excellent. The rooms are clean and comfortable, brightly lit, the breakfast superb and the view from the dining room is amazing. The staff were friendly and most helpful.

Poorly maintained hotel We did not have even hot water for the shower They did not tell us it was a problem with the water heater when we checked in, we may have asked for a refund and look for another hotel, but obviously was too late by the time we found a little note they left in the room. Hotel José Régio
Practical hotel in the centre of Portalegre. Overall the hotel feels a bit dated but generally clean. Breakfast was ok but not a single lactose or gluten free option (at least we couldn’t find it and there was no staff on sight)

Clean, friendly, room ok with lovely balcony and view. No lift Dinner ok for me.(Pork chops) not for my wife . Breakfast ok but coffee awful. I had fresh fruit, yogor, toast, juice and tea.
