I got there and there were random hairs around. It looked like housekeeping, not a previous guest. I also did not have face towels despite calling the front desk, notifying housekeeping and then calling the front desk again. It took two full days. The food wasn’t that amazing. It was rather bland to me. The staff was incredibly nice and sweet with every interaction, always smiled, greeted, and were very respectful. The hotel itself is a bit run down but has different areas that have been upgraded and are very nice. There was also an odd Shell on my floor - like original food. Other than that, decent hotel for a short stay. I wouldn’t stay here again, but it was not awful for a stop and go.

Hotel was booked due to a cancellation by another so was not first choice. Room and facilities were very good, very clean and room service was excellent. Breakfast and dinner choices were good but did not vary much by day. Only a few restaurants in the surrounding area and not so much to see. But The Abu Dhabi Mall is only 20 min walk away and the Corniche 15 min walk. The main praise is for the staff who were ever helpful and friendly and was a pleasure to interact with them.

Weeks prior to checking in, I attempted to call, message directly and through Expedia, requesting an early check in, none of my attempts to contact them was responded to. They didn’t even pick up the phone when I tried calling them. On arrival, they said that there was no possibility to check-in earlier. Would have been good to know this before I arrived. Other than that, the staff were pleasant and polite.

Staff were great, a great affordable chinese restaurant across the road Abu Dhabi os full of Indians and when India happened to be playing cricket that night and winning the racket from outside was immense.

When arrived no AC next to lobby. The bathroom had bad smell. The water pressure in the shower was week. The hot water was not hot. When you close the door of washroom loud sound cones due to roof panels loose. The hotel is next to mosque. The AC cannot be adjusted and very dry. The key card inside room is lose and will come out. (So definitely not 5 * hotel (max 3 *) +vs amazing staff and service from valet, good variety of breakfast, bed is nice and comfortable, near to lot of shops & grocery (1 min walk),

Badly treated at check-in

Arriving at 1300 hrs, I was told I was not allowed to check-in until 1400 hrs, so was left standing there to wait. A few minutes later another group arrived, and were called forward and invited to check-in. I approached the desk and asked why these people were allowed to check-in, but I had been told to wait. No explanation was given for this discrimination, but the staff then let me check-in.
