The property and rooms were nice. Outside tho you have to be careful as quite a few homeless and/or riff raff came right up to the benches outside asking for change or cigarettes. There was security but I only saw them once early in the morning.

Not Worth The Money

AC did not work in the room. There was no mattress pad on the mattress. The bathroom had cracked tiles, and the bathtub looked horrid. This hotel is very dated, and needs some serious TLC. The mattresses were also awful.

Not sure why I was charged a pet fee…as La Quinta in Oklahoma never charged a $25 pet fee. The extremely rude receptionist insisted to copy my Drivers License as I would dispute the charge. I admitted my pet was not a service animal. I hope my DL is not compromised as I was not given an option. The breakfast person argued with me as I tried to get a cup of coffee in the morning as I returned from walking my pet. If there is an issue…move the coffee away from the breakfast food. It was never an issue in Oklahoma as they have it set up in this manner. Very disappointed to be treated as such as a paying customer…mind blowing!

Run away! We had one lovely clerk and one completely rude. AC/heat out of a window unit like in the 1980’s. Food GROSS! Unsafe neighborhood.

Our room had a few repairs that needed to get done. We did inform the front desk and no one came to fix anything that we brought to their attention. Bathroom fan did not work. There was a big dent in the floor. Inside the door the face plate was loose and if it wasn't put back correctly the key pad would beep. The hot tub would've been nice to use but the jets didn't work. The bathrooms in the lobby were very dirty.

Room was clean, though there were some yellow water marks on the walls under the sink in the bathroom. AC worked well. Staff was friendly and accommodating, however, when we asked for an ice bucket, the woman at the front desk wasn’t sure if they had any (?) and we never received it. We were in town for balloon fiesta and to see family so the location was convenient for us.

The kicked us out because of our dogs, when this is supposebly a PET friendly hotel, and threatend to call the pound on our dogs.

Overall, my stay at La Quinta Midtown was good, but it’s clear the property cuts a few corners. The air conditioner condenser was caked in dust, there were stains on the comforter, and both the bathroom fan and entry light weren’t working. It also doesn’t appear that the hotel operates an industry-standard hot water circulatory system — if you don’t want an icy shower, plan to get up early and let the water run for a while. On the positive side, the maintenance man and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Not sure why, but the front desk seemed a bit stressed even though the place wasn’t particularly busy. Breakfast was actually better than expected, and the breakfast attendant was very nice and attentive. The location was convenient for getting around town, though there were quite a few homeless individuals in the area. That said, the hotel did a good job keeping the parking lot secure and well-patrolled

Glass found in hot tub. Had to change rooms because AC unit and tv did not work because remote and thermostat needed batteries and maintenance staff was not onsite per front desk. Second room was better but not very clean. Homeless people hanging around cars in parking lot. Staff was friendly enough. Breakfast was good.
