I have stayed here may times over the years, since a few years back they have shifted their focus from the customer to the customer's wallet. Walking outside the hotel is unsafe, very limited walking space, high risk of being run over by a car or tuc tuc. I stayed in room 142, large but very poorly designed, only storage room is in a closet in the bathroom, behind the door that enters into the bathroom so if you are getting stuff from the closet you run the risk of being struck by the door when someone else comes into the room.

A beautifully restored convent.

An amazing hotel/ museum on the edge of Antigua. The complex is large and beautifully restored. The swimming pool was a delightful addition after a hot walk around the town.

Overall didnā€™t have a nice time. The hotel staff was not accommodating with various asks (leaving bags, exchanging currency, etc). I expected more for the money we were paying.
