This is easily the best location to start your Austin adventure! You can easily walk to Barton Springs Pool (5 min walk) and Zilker Park for all of the awesome festivals such as ACL, Blues on the Green, the Kite Festival, or just go hang out and relax with the Austin skyline as your backdrop.

This 2 bedroom house has an absolutely perfect location! It`s right next to Zilker Park and downtown, which means you`re super close to everything. It`s recently been redecorated. The apartment fits 8 people comfortably with 2 in the king bed, 1 in the twin day bed, 1 in the twin trundle, 2 in the queen bed, and 2 on the comfy sleeper sofa.



The kitchen is fully stocked with all of the essentials. Cook as much or as little as you want while in town! Head to the large yard that wraps around entire house. Great for relaxing outdoors and perfect for pets. Please keep in mind that the fence is not fully enclosed, so an unattended pet may be able to wander off. There is an additional pet cleaning fee of $85 that must be paid in advance.

The rental comes with 1 unreserved parking spot that we provide a parking pass for you to park with. Any other vehicles can park on the street.

Great Location to Restaurants and Parks

Loved the balcony but only access through master bedroom. Affordable. Tough stairs to climb to enter property. Adjacent to beautiful neighborhood and Barton Springs. Very comfortable.

What a disappointment! The photos in the listing were quite nice and it appeared to be comfortable, it is not. When we entered the house it was obvious no one had cared for this place in a very long time. The carpet was disgusting, stained, torn, and crunched underfoot. There were holes in the walls and in the drapes. Much of the furniture was in a state of disrepair, the living room chair had a broken leg ( not usable ), and the beds screeched with every move, making it difficult to sleep. The towels were tacky, something appeared to be growing around the vent in the bathroom and all the air vents had debris hanging from them. We tried to find another place to stay however with the big-ticket events happening that weekend we had no other option. Every time we walked into this place we felt gross and were filled with disappointment.

Family on a budget

Overall the property and stay was great for a family on a budget, just what we were looking for. It’s within walking distance of Barton Springs and a very safe neighborhood. The view is great, but way more stairs than I anticipated to get to the house. Also parking is included which was a plus.

Excellent communication and very easy check in process. Everything we needed. Needs a little updating and based on location in the complex it tends to be a little dark, but worked out really well for our trip. Glad we found this place.

Great visit in Austin

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. We had a problem with the upstairs toilet, but reported it, and it was resolved very quickly! We enjoyed the location as we found good food and parks and gardens very close by. We would definitely stay here again!

Great Location, Just OK Home

This location was fantastic. It's very close to Zilker Park and a cheap Uber/Lyft to the downtown area. The key pad lock made check in and out very convenient, and there was plenty of communication in advance of our arrival. The house itself left quite a bit to be desired. It has a very strong musty odor. I thought once the AC had been running for a few hours that it would clear up, but it was intense throughout the entire stay. There were ants in the upstairs bathroom. There is a portable AC unit in one of the upstairs bedrooms, and it had completely soaked the carpet through. I did alert management to this, and they advised to turn it off and they'd reach out to maintenance. I was never contacted again about it. The furniture is heavily stained, and most corners of floors, counters, and windows have dirt/dust buildup on them. The house needs a deep cleaning, a coat of paint, and some upgrades to the ventilation.

Property owners/managers have failed to send a receipt for my stay after several requests. VRBO says they cannot help because Austin Vacay uses their own system. Queen Bed in second bedroom was broken upon arrival, and uncomfortable to sleep in. Unit has a musty smell, and foul odor from kitchen sink Ants crawling around in bathroom Unit much darker than appears in pictures. Otherwise property clean. Walkable to Zilker park and Barton Springs pool.

Heart of Austin

I had a great stay here with my boys (ages 12 and 13 in the heart of Austin. The front door is up the long stairs shown in the oustide pic. Pack light. Both bedrooms are upstairs but the living area has a pull out couch downstairs and another sitting couch there in the same living space as the pullout couch. We had no issues. We used a code to unlock the door and had no real check in process so that was nice. The house was tidy and clean. Beds were comfy. The location was fantastic. We came in from North Texas and was easily able to avoid I-35 and Mopac (Loop 1) by taking The Capitol of Texas HWY to Barton Springs. I would recommend eating at Magnolia Cafe for breakfast or brunch (on south congress). And Maudies Tex Mex (on Lamar) had excellent cheese enchiladas with spicy ranchero sauce and great salsa and drinks. Chuys is another iconic tex-mex restaurant and is the closest, right on Barton Springs. The Barton Springs natural spring fed pool was still closed since covid but we walked down to it and were able to go down (a few minutes walk) on a trail where the pool spills over into Ladybird Lake. The kids swam there for free and enjoyed the trees and scenery. This where the locals (and many of their friendly dogs) go to play and chill out. The lake has a great trail for hiking or biking and bike rental is just right out in the front parking area of the house. I have no complaints with out stay and hope to visit again! I used to live in Austin so I know this truly the best location to stay! Thank you for a great stay and very fair price for this location. We had a great time!
