Inconvenient and unimpressive

Warning: they won’t let you leave your bags after check out. My boyfriend had to waste hours of his morning schlepping our bags to the lockers because I was at a scuba lesson. Super inconvenient. Bed was comfortable enough, but the room itself is pretty dingy and outdated. A/C worked ok.

No frills hotel

Overall this hotel worked for the weekend - we only wanted to stay one night in Catalina and most hotels required a 2 night stay. Hotel St Lauren allowed for one night so we went with it. But this is a no frills hotel and they charge pretty crazy prices for what you get. I would pay the extra money and get a balcony - beautiful view and made up for the spartan nature of the rest of the room. I saw into a room with no view and it was pretty depressing looking. Overall I agree with the other reviews but if you only want to stay one night, this is a decent option and I think all the hotels in the area are this expensive. Don’t expect anything fancy.

Solid location. Easily walkable. Rooms are super basic but have everything you need. There was some construction going on across the street. But on the weekend wasn’t too noticeable. Was high season in Catalina so solid bang for buck here if you don’t mind more average room and amenities
