The Fox Hotel and Suites tried to add an extra $250 to my room fee at check in- the staff member just handed me the debit/credit machine and asked me to pre-authorize the full amount. When I questioned this & quoted the amount that was on my booking from Expedia, they corrected the error but blamed the error on their "new" debit/credit card machine. No - a debit/credit card machine does not come up with the amount - a staff member has to input this amount into the machine. I also noticed that an additional charge was added to my credit card. So I went to the front desk to point out this mistake. Again I was told this was due to the hotel's "new" computer system that the staff member said was 2 months old. It took 3 days after checkout for the hotel to bill my credit card. In the end the amount was correct.
The outer door to our room would not lock. I had to go to the front desk to report this - I was given instructions on how to reset to card mechanism on the door. It did work eventually but it took quite a few tries to "reset" it.
The TV in the living room in our room did not work. This was because the top part of the plug in under the TV did not work - the bottom plug did thankfully. The floor in the room was quite dirty. It looked like it hadn't been really cleaned in a while - lots of dust/dirt.
We had margaritas at Chili's that were supposed to have 2 oz of tequila each. I'm guessing that there was probably 0.5 oz in each drink - definitely watering down the drinks.
