We were excited to stay in an historical property. The rooms, were not decorated in a manner that fit with the history of the property. The floor was not clean so we had to leave our shoes on the entire time we were in the room. Additionally, the room smelled very musty and damp. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The exterior building and grounds were well kept.

This is a nice property. I've stayed here a few times and I never have a complaint. I think there should be some kind of disclaimer shared with guest when a wedding is scheduled during their stay. This weekend there was a fairly large wedding which left guests with no where to park. I ended up parking across the street in a grassy lot that hasn't recently been cut. There was no food available at the restaurant as the entire kitchen staff was working/catering the wedding. As a guest, I should be able to park and get food as part of the amenities I payed for. I will definitely inquire about scheduled wedding before booking next time. It was a beautiful wedding though.

Loved this hotel. This historic property is well maintained. Rooms are updated and have almost everything I wanted. Recommend all rooms come with a microwave and mini refrigerator. Convenient for travelers on the road.

A little more attention to detail needed

Desk clerk was very friendly. We were not so excited when we go to the room and the floor was filthy. Shower was dirty. "Shelf" that held the Tv was at such a slope, everything we put on it slid off. The were also little black catapillars EVERYWHERE. We removed at least 8 from the walls and floors around the bed and windows

I have wanted to stay at the White House since it opened and finally had an opportunity to do so. The property itself is beautiful and the staff and service are excellent. However, my room had a very peculiar smell. It was somewhat like rancid Pine-Sol, I mentioned it to my aunt who had stayed there before, and she mentioned that her room had the same mildew smell. I don’t know if it is indeed mildew, or if the air freshener that they use is awful but the room smell was not pleasant. The fitness center was very poorly equipped. There was not a full set of weights. The 10 15 and 20 pound weights were missing. There were no mats and no wipes. I travel quite frequently and this was one of the worst hotel gyms I have ever deen. It was sad. The lobby and check-in experience was very inviting. The food was amazing. I had gone to Cora’s kitchen several times for dinner when I lived on the Gulf Coast previously when I’ve come back to visit. The rooms were just underwhelming and the smell was off putting. I seriously doubt that I’ll stay here again. I will come back to visit the restaurant, but I can’t stay in those rooms again.

The facility was in a great location, service was great, bar was above average. Lobby is inviting and spacious. Downside is the restaurant has been closed for a while waiting on new furniture.
