This hotel was ok, the room was really basic for the money and the city ‘view’ was really unimpressive and of a car park and entrance to station. The parking was a bit of a farce and I ended up getting charged twice even though I only parked once. The breakfast was really really lacklustre and choice was poor. Staff were lovely and helped me with no hot water in bathroom, so that was good. In quite a rough area of Birmingham but air con was good and it was quiet but I felt it was not value for money and wouldn’t stay again

Disappointing Experience

A terrible check in experience. I had contacted the hotel via their message system to say that my room had changed from a twin to king. As I hadn’t received a reply from them I telephoned the hotel direct and spoke to the hotel, I was told that the system had been updated. It was not! On that same messaging system upon booking I had a detailed message on offsite parking where and how to do this. We followed the message even though Birmingham was very busy and we had to queue for 45 minutes just to park. Upon checking in after the above issue I said we had parked in the car Park and was told it was the wrong car park, having to prove that I had received a message and nobody had thought to tell me of any changes. Apparently there was nothing they could do! After not giving in we were given breakfast for two. That was a kind gesture but I didn’t want a breakfast. I already have another Radisson Blu hotel booked in a couple of weeks and am now worried I’ve made a big mistake!

What a lovely hotel to stay in. Was such a pleasure. Great reception area. Staff too. Such friendly and helpful staff. Bar staff went out of his way to serve us. Lifts good to use. Rooms so well decorated. Great bathroom. Such comfortable beds and pillows. Great location.

Very convenient for our stay near to the O2 Academy. A really nice room with good facilities and comfy bed and a nice breakfast. Windows were dirty on the outside was the only down side but it is in a busy city centre.

Firstly, I arrived around 2230 to the hotel and check-in without any issue. Then I went to my room and open the door, and I found a guest in my room. He was surprised as well but he told me that his original room was no electricity so the hotel moved him to the one supposed to be my room. So we went down to the front desk to sort things out. The lady at the front desk trying to find a new room for me and the person went back to the room. The lady took some time to find me a room and i got the key for a new room. So I went up to the room, when I opened the door, there was a dead smell, something like a few days didn't open the door or just no ventilation smell. So I went to the air conditioning controller to try switch on the air condition and get some air. It doesn't work, as the controller is not switch on at all. So i went straight down to the front desk to talk to the lady who gave me the room. She promised that she will find some one to come to fix it. And asked me I should give them time to fix it and be patient. So it is already 2300 when the conversation took place. So I wait for 45mins, no one come, no sign of it. I checked some hotel reviews in here and found out it wasn't the first time it happened. So after 45mins, i went down to the front desk at 2345. The lady is not there and it was another guy there. So I told him what was happened included I got another guest in my original room. He looked surprised. ... to be continuous due to the text i can type here
