Great facilities with a jacuzzi bath in the room! Very helpful staff at reception and breakfast helped me as I'm disabled. Spotless room too. Great value for money!

Lift nearly broke on us. And was broken within the hour. Staff were ok at bar but the receptionist were terrible. Unhelpful and gave no information when checking in and spoke as if wanted us to be got rid of. Also no information in room so we were unsure of anything.

Hotel needs some serious maintenance. Gutters needed clearing, bathrooms/rooms needed updating. Staff were fine and rooms were clean but the more one looks the more flaws become apparent. I can only assume that there is no money for updates/maintenance and hasn't been for some time, tired.

It was a really nice entrance area, and the staff were friendly enough. The key issues were the amount of dust in the rooms, the towels not smelling fresh and the fact that we needed to pay to use the gym which wasn’t obvious from the way it was advertised.

Lovely room nice and clean. Fridge could be bigger ok if on your own. Make sure you pay for a food voucher at reception before eating at the restaurant as it’s more expensive.

The hotel looks lovely from the outside. Inside, needs a lot of care and loving. We booked a double standard room. What we got was a room with 2 single beds strapped together. We are supposed to get a double bed. The tv didnt work, cold tap was a drip. The extractor fan in the bathroom hasn't seen a duster in years. We stayed in room 448. Next to the lift. The room has no sound proofing so you can hear every conversation and when the lift goes up and down. No one was on reception when we left to give feedback.

They charged extra to use the pool - which is an unacceptable surprise, having picked a hotel based on the fact that it has a pool. They charged extra still for towels. There was an unusually early check-out time of 10am and children couldn’t use the pool until 10am, so we could swim until after check-out. They charge extra for WiFi and wasn’t initially working anyway, the steam room was out of action, the smart TV wasn’t connected to anything, the bedroom heating didn’t work, there was no toilet brush in the bathroom, the coffee machine wasn’t working for breakfast, the breakfast selection was somewhat limited. But the staff were polite and helpful and did what they could to overcome the other issues - such as providing portable radiators.
