1970's house

It was so quiet and private. A whole house all to yourself with no shared walls.It felt secure and homey. We loved it.

The furniture is dated but the house was spotlessly cleaned. Owners were very accommodating and a pleasure to deal with. I would certainly recommend this Vrbo to family and friends.

Nice place away from the big city

Our cottage was located about 30 minutes north of Bordeaux in a very quiet community. The owners lived right on the property and if we needed anything we’re just a knock on the door away. The unit itself reminded us of our lake cottage with cozy but somewhat outdated furniture. But that suited us just fine. Our main purpose was to have a home base to visit wine chateaus and it was perfect for that.

Wonderfully central location and lovely cottage and garden

I could easily access the wine regions from The property: St Emillion, Margaux and of course Medoc. Also the coastal areas of the Basin d’ Arcachon and Soulac sur Mer were a great day’s outing. The cottage itself is wonderfully nostalgic with lovely retro furniture and bric a brac. The amenities: fridge, new toaster, kettle and coffee maker were good to have. The washing machine threw me a bit so I didn’t use it- unfamiliar with that type of machine. Loved the shuttered doors opening on to a walkway and the alfresco dining area beyond. If I return to the greater Bordeaux area.. I would love to stay here again

The property is good value for money and the proprietors are very welcoming. The decor is dated and the wifi was insufficient for business use. But everything you need is there and the location makes it a handy base for visiting chateaux both on the Medoc and in Pessac Leognan. I enjoyed my stay.

Home from home

My friend was unable to join me because of covid restrictions but I still went for a few days' break and it was perfect. I've been before and, although there are lots of places to visit, this property is also great just to relax and get away from it all. Like last time, I found the property super clean, well equipped and the hosts really welcoming. I'll be booking again for next year!

We had a lovely time. Set up inside and out was excellent. Our hosts were delightful. I must say that in comparison to other Homeaway stays we have rented in Italy and France these owner represent their property truthfully.

Great Bordeaux location away from everything but close driving- fantastic hosts

Pierette and her husband were just fabulous hosts in providing a great gete that was comfortable, private and picturesque. The two bedroom home just met our needs perfectly in a location that gave us easy drives to both the local wineries and Bordeaux city. Pierette was always right there to help with local info and even enlisted the neighbor to help translate... Can't say enough about this gete and owners.... place to come back to.

a wonderful stay

Stayed here for a week in this delightful property. It was really well equipped, better than my own home, and spotlessly clean. We enjoyed sitting in the garden in the sun, and ate a couple of light meals there. Our hosts were fantastic. They were there when there was a problem and ready for a chat. They were friendly and helpful and ideal hosts. We hope that one day we will be able to return. The area was ideal for touring the wine regions, and it was easy to get into Bordeaux by tram fro a nearby village, once we had worked it all out with the much appreciated help of our host.

Beautiful, quiet area, very friendly owners (even if only speaks French). Cozy house, where everything you need. Near the beautiful city of Bordeaux, half an hour away Atlantic coast. The best accommodation throughout our travels around France.
