Remontoitu kaunis 3 makuuhuoneen / 2 kylpy modernin asunnon - kaksi sänkyä on queen size 1 on kahden hengen mukavuutesi. Leveät mäntylattiat, päivitetyt shaker-tyyliset kaapit Graniitti työtasot, SS-laitteet. Suuri avoin konsertti elävät. Suuri makuuhuone Master kylpy. Nukkuu 6 ihmistä. Pysäköinti kadulla yhdelle ajoneuvolle. Keski-AC. Oleskelualueen ulkopuolella. Lyhyt kävelymatka lähiliikennejunalle Bostoniin. The location was perfect. My son got married in Danvers and they were staying at the Salem Waterfront which is a 5 minute walk from the townhome. My brother stayed in the second floor unit so it was nice to all be in the same building. The huge walk in closet in the basement was perfect for all our wedding clothes and items. It was a full basement with a big bedroom, bathroom and living room with TV. Nice to have a separate space from the rest of the house.Lots of restaurants and stores within walking distance. The listing was accurate to what the unit offered.The only downside is our contact, Jennifer didn't have any idea about the orange bags for excess trash. We had to take a picture of the page in the handbook to show her that the unit didn't have these bags so we had to jam our trash in the bins. After we sent her the message, she never responded.Other than that she was responsive and addressed our questions.

We had a wonderful stay! The place was immaculate clean, beds and bedding were comfortable. Check in was easy. We had one small issue during our stay and the host was quick to remedy it. The location was perfect for us. We were able to walk around Salem from here. Lots of cute restaurants and attractions. It’s right across from waterfront so nice to walk to lighthouse at night and sunrise in morning. One of the best places I have stayed at.

Keurig water reservoir moldy. Couldn’t clean it out. Bath towels as thin as paper towels. Outdoor space needs cleaning and buggy. Need cement pad. WHY am I stripping beds when I pay a substantial cleaning fee?

Great place to stay. Walking distance to several historical sites of Salem, restaurants and shops. Take the time to take in a Sail on the Fame of Salem (daytime and sunset sails of Salem Sound) Location allows short drive trips to other locations to explore. House was clean and quiet. Would stay there again.

The accommodations were immaculate, the beds and bedding soft and perfect, and everything was a close walk. We had one small issue during the stay and the host was quick to remedy it. Salem is a walkable city, and the location for this place is perfect to walk. The maritime historical locations are all right there to tour, anf we were right across from lighthouse. We enjoyed walking out to see the sunrise and walking around at night exploring.

Wonderful unit so convenient.

We only had the chance to come down to Salem for one night on this trip but this unit was so conveniently located and everything we could ask for. We are already talking about planning another trip to the area and hope to get this same place again next time.

Amazing waterfront stay in historic Salem

This was our third time staying at this property and we love it. Water view from the living room, the location is amazing and the property is spacious and has everything we need. The host is also extremely responsive. Highly recommend.

Great location but…

We were so excited to stay here. The house is cute. The location is great. However… the air conditioning was not working which made for a miserable sleeping experience. The host suggested we open windows, but we did not feel comfortable with this as it is on the 1st floor. I wish there had been some other compromise or solution available to us (or at least some oscillating fans!). Thank goodness we only stayed one night.

The house was in a good location to everything. Cleanliness was excellent. We had an issue with the basement toilet not flushing properly but can be understandable since the house was historically built in the 1800’s. Plus we had another bathroom that was easily accessible. I wasn’t impressed with the communication of the host. In weeks ahead of our stay I asked how we entered the house (key/keycode). It was several days before the host responded with “we would receive a code 24 hours prior to our stay”. Upon 6 hours before our stay, we still had not received a code. I tried to reach out to the host a few times within 24 hours of our check in time with no response. I ended up contacting VRBO and they also had a hard time contacting the host. I finally received a text from the host about 5 hours before check in time with a response that she didn’t work 24 hours a day. I have never had any issues in the multiple times in the past with other hosts getting check in information as I did this time. I just wish that process went smoother. When you’re 15 hours away from home and you’re told you’ll get a code 24 hours prior to stay and we’re down to 5-6 hours and still no code, it makes me nervous if we were even going to have a place to stay. Again, the house very inviting and a good place to stay.

Perfect place for our 6 person family to stay! Immediately beside the wharfs and close to everything! Bed was comfortable, kitchen had a Keurig, and it was exactly as advertised. Would definitely stay here again!

Family Trip to Salem

Great location. Great property for our family of five including two toddlers. Most of the best sights in Salem were easily walkable from this location. A lot of food options around too.

Meet up with new friends in Salem

It was perfect for us and so convenient to a delightful coffee shop and restaurants. Rarely used the car since so much was withing walking distance, especially the old section of Salem. Great vacation.

Relaxing in Salem for Birthday Getaway

Our third stay at 14 Hodges. We were so pleased with the upgrades. The new beds/bedding were amazing and the new thermostat was user friendly. We managed to cook quite a bit while also eating out at our favorite vegan spots in Salem and Beverly. We headed to Boston via train for the Titanic exhibit and headed to Portland Maine and the lit up for the Holidays Nubble Light House. It was great to visit the PEM once again for some great exhibits and all the local stores. It was great to be "home."
