We loved Brown’s Canyon Inn. Mark, the proprietor, was a great guy and helped us get a lay of the land in Salida. Very important, the coffee was excellent, as was the breakfast spread. We plan to return in the not too distant future.

Right on the main drag through Salida so convenient. Room was nice. We heard our neighbors a bit more than in some hotels but it was a weekend. Not set up for convenient phone charging (USB and a multitude of power plugs). Nice lobby ambiance. Breakfast area was small but you could always go back to your room.

Really nice place. Clean and well decorated. I could grab a snack or water at any time. The owner made me a pot of coffee at 4, when I off-handedly mention I needed coffee. Close to monarch in downtown. I will definitely be back.
