Black Orchid Resort offers 25 air-conditioned accommodations with complimentary bottles of water and designer toiletries. Rooms open to balconies. Each accommodation is individually furnished. This was the perfect place to stay on our first night in Belize. It is only a short drive and pick up from the airport is offered. The location is quiet and right on the river. The rooms are clean and the staff are friendly. The food is really good. We took a morning boat ride with Edmund and saw 30 bird species. Highly recommend this location.

Clean, secure, comfortable. Grounds are beautiful. We saw monkeys in the tree outside our room. Right on the river and there are canoes. We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant, both were quite good. Property is not in a town, not really a walkable area.

We needed somewhere to stay that was close to the airport for one day it was perfect and quiet. Our TV wasn’t working properly. I asked if I could get my room changed and they did.

Close to airport with a nice pool overlooking the Belize River. Staff were friendly but inattentive. Facilities could use an upgrade. Grounds around the edges of the property were rough. No assist with bags up the steep stairs and airport pickup was an hour delayed.

The Black Orchid is a beautiful property. The staff was amazing and the grounds stunning. Unfortunately, we were only there for one night, but we enjoyed the pool, grounds, and hearing the howler monkeys was an unexpected treat.

Belize City Resort

Very nice place to stay to experience the local jungle related attractions near City. Very convenientl location to stay the last two or three nights before leaving because if it’s very close proximity to the airport and airport shuttle. The food was excellent. Had a very nice pool and the atmosphere was very relaxing.

We had a great stay at the Black Orchid. The staff was wonderful and the food at the restaurant was so good! It’s an older property but was clean and well kept. The only complaint is the bathrooms are old and not updated so feeling grungy.

The staff was incredible, best service we had in our time in Belize. From the wait staff to the drivers and guides, top notch! Rooms were nice and very large. And the grounds we're gorgeous with many iguanas feeding and sunbathing during the day.
