Room was beautiful. Lots of storage in both bedroom and bathroom. Great having an ironing board in the room. Pool was clean and quiet. Had the happy hour but a bit disappointed it was only margaritas. Would be nice if wine and beer was available for happy hour. Short walk to restaurants on the Esplanade and to the shopping centre. Would recommend staying here

Arrived with my partner early and left our luggage. Being two males they must have assumed we would need a twin bed as they split the bed when we returned and checked in. Had to go back and get someone to change it to a king bed. Room had everything we needed and was pretty clean. No plug outlets near the bed only USB ports so had to charge phones near the TV. Pool was small and everytime we went there in the morning there was still plates and glasses leftover from the previous day as pool service only started at 3pm so if you wanted a drink you had to bring your own before then. The in-room dining was limited and the snack bar advertised is not the same as what reception have which was disappointing. Hotel was okay for a stopover but definitely not for anyone wanting to stay in the hotel to relax.

Clean, modern room. Fairly comfortable bed. A little cramped in the bedroom part, but the bathroom was spacious. Good shower with consistent water pressure & temperature. Good quality soaps & conditioner provided in full-size bottles. No view to speak of in room 111 - just the road, the top of an awning, and some miscellaneous buildings. The liighting system was a bit too fancy for its own good - lots of "scene" buttons rather than simple on/off switches, which is passable but those buttons are backlit with LEDs which you can't turn off, so the room has annoying blue LED light throughout, at night. Particularly good breakfast buffet, with a lot of options, including: typical cooked items (bacon, sausages, potato gems, eggs in a couple of styles varying daily), a variety of cereals (including Weetbix), various sweet pastries, yoghurt, croissants, various sliced bread and condiments (including Vegemite), etc. Never too crowded during our stay in Christmas holidays. Decent location - not on the shorefront, but only one block back, and an easy walk to all the Cairns 'downtown' attractions. Overall a very enjoyable stay.
