We had a fabulous 5-night stay at the Onyx. I booked a junior suite with all amenities. It was very prefect. The deco was lovely and all aspects of the room was comfy. The location was convenient for the conference I was attending at the center. I would highly recommend a stay at the Onyx.

We booked a two bedroom suite at the Onyx Hotel and were very happy with the accommodation, location, service, and the room size. There is living area, Well equipped Kitchen (though we didn't use it), large windows, soft beds, a small balcony, parking, and BF (excellent) was included in the Room Rate. Location is close to V&A Waterfront and there are many hotels in the vicinity. The Asian Restaurant on site serves up some delicious food. Would definitely recommend the Onyx Hotel/Apartment for a stay in Capetown.

Rooms are large and nicely decorated perfect for a family stay. Central area, good housekeeping and friendly staff. I liked that bottled water was replenished daily. Kitchen missing napkins & paper towels. Bathroom towels nice but missing wash cloths. Reason for 4 star rating. We would definitely return!

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcomed with their politeness, professionalism, and genuine warmth. They are incredibly respectful, always ready to help, and consistently go above and beyond to make guests feel comfortable. Their beautiful smiles truly brighten the atmosphere. The room was spotless every day—clean, fresh, and well-maintained, which made my stay even more relaxing. The hotel’s location is excellent as well, making it easy to get around and enjoy the surrounding area. The food was another highlight—delicious, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. You can tell the hotel takes great pride in the quality of their cuisine. Overall, I had a fantastic experience and would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, great service, and exceptional hospitality. I caught staff removing my luggage from the room around 15 minutes past 12 noon, claiming they were permitted to do so as the room was booked and check out was 11am. Rather than contacting me or waiting for me - they resolved to a practice that is criminal in the industry. Highly recommend you try another location to stay at
