The hotel was exceptionally good, clean, spacious room. Breakfast and evening meals no complaints at all, Choice of menu v good, all staff very helpful, pleasant and willingbto help, i really do recommend a stay in this hotel. Train station across the road, so easy after a train journey

A great one-night stay in a nice hotel, directly over the road to the train station and a 10minute walk into the lovely city centre. We received a warm welcome on arrival and a cheery check-out . the hotel is in good condition with a great little drinking garden. well impressed with both the hotel and city and will return again for a break when it becomes warmer.

We had another wonderful stay for a birthday trip. Room was clean and spacious, and the bed was so comfortable! (superior room). Had a nice drink in the bar last night too. They kindly stored our bags for us for a few hours after we checked out, as we wanted to go back into the city before our train home. We will definitely be back!

We got a free upgrade to the Kings side of the hotel which was lovely. Lovely bathroom with a bath and a shower. Nice fluffy towels. Evening meal at our function was lovely and the staff were really helpful and cheerful
