The room was very clean. I also liked the shampoo and hand cream that was available for use. The other thing was having a coffee ☕️ maker with coffee included. The area was quite and no problem with other guests.

This had to be the worse hotel experience I ever had, I went to chulavista for a Family funeral, and had the worst experience ever, as soon as I was going up the elevator, I got a bad whiff of people smoking you know what, and the rooms smelled like that too, it lookalike the hotel knows because the try to cover it with pinesol but it still smells very bad, I called the front office and I told them I couldn’t stay there, because I also saw a lot of girls getting picked up and arriving with different man, while we were waiting at the parking lot for other family members, I said, I don’t think it’s a safe environment because I have a family , I came with my kids to stay at a hotel, for couple days for the funeral , and I told them I could stay this night because I am here and tired coming from 6 hour drive , but can you cancel tomorrow and the guy said yes just come in the office tomorrow, when I get there the next day, the guy said no I can’t give you the money back, even when I explain the situation, he wanted me to give me a different room I said no that’s no going to change anything, my niece that was staying there with her kids also came to the office and was told the Same that they couldn’t give her the money back for cancellation, I called the third party company that I paid for hotel and they said they were going to try to get my refund back to don’t work about it , if it wasn’t safe I didn’t have to stay there, I just got an email of Expedia saying I lost my refund 😡

It was awful. I left immediately and did not stay. This place caters to weekly renters, not vacation or business travelers. There were lots of people hanging out in the parking lot in PJs and robes.The room smelled strongly of chemical cleaners. The room remodel was cheap. I made a huge mistake booking this. I went to my room, got online and got another reservation at another place, then went downstairs to hand in my key. I did not stay.

Check in was great, we even received our room earlier. However , the disappointing part was that a dep was taken for Incidentals and the room was below expectation. The door deadbolt would not lock as of the door was broken into before and fixed. This was a safety issue. The curtain had multiple holes in it as if burned prior or moth . The mattress cover had stained paw prints on it. The room smelled as if there was previous smoke.the base boards were cracked and not repaired correctly. The outside of the bullring was loud and a car was speeding through the parking lot multiple times during the hours of 1-5pm.

I’ve had a really good stay at the Days Inn in Chula Vista. The staff here is truly the highlight—everyone has been kind, respectful, and genuinely helpful. From the front desk to housekeeping, people go out of their way to make sure you’re okay and comfortable, and that means a lot when you’re away from home. The location is convenient and easy to get around from, with shopping, food, and transportation close by. It feels safe, walkable, and quiet enough to actually rest. Parking is easy, which is a big plus, and everything you need is nearby. Overall, this place has been a positive experience for me, mostly because of the people who work here. Good service makes all the difference, and they really deliver that here. I’m grateful for the kindness and care I’ve been shown during my stay.
