The staff seem to have no concept of hospitality. Housekeeping starts banging around and shouting across the hallway at 8am, well before check-out time, which makes it impossible to sleep in. The soundproofing is also terrible, you can hear every step from the room above. Definitely wouldn’t recommend. The location is great, and the lobby and restaurant are nice — but the service is seriously lacking.

Our room was clean and I loved the bathroom design -- huge open shower with a sink on either side. it was almost like having two separate bathrooms to get ready in. The robes and slippers were a nice touch and I liked some of the unique furnishings. Service from all staff was wonderful. Our package included breakfast and the food from the restaurant wasn't great, but I would give it another chance. Really enjoyed our time here and would absolutely return. Valet service is expensive but convenient and the valet was very good.

Great staycation at the Kimpton Schofield

We had a great stay! The hotel was a perfect location for all we set out to do: Museum of Illusions, Corner Alley, Playhouse Sq, Heinen’s, Great Lakes Science Center. We also loved the lobby, the games that it provided. We enjoyed the filtered water and complimentary coffee and tea. My only observations that could use a look/improvement: a coffee table in sitting area of room, a soap dish to keep counter clean, shower head needs cleaning.

The front desk staff was excellent and very helpful in getting us checked in on a timely basis. This is one of the best staff I’ve encountered at Kimpton. My previous experience at the Kimpton in Atlanta was horrid when their front desk staff basically CONFISCATED my breakfast vouchers for my stay when they saw my status was merely PLATINUM. I hated that staff member and never want to visit the Kimpton in Atlanta ever again. Fortunately, the Cleveland Kimpton was kind and polite, they provided my breakfast vouchers based on my booking and even honored my Platinum benefits when checking in. The Cleveland staff appreciated my status and tried to accommodate our needs during the stay even when it was sold out and we needed late check out. FIVE STARS!!!
