When we booked the hotel room the pictures looked very different from the room we got. Our bathroom walls were cracked and tearing in several places. The appliances around the room were dirty, air conditioner looked like it had never been cleaned. There were cockroaches in our bath tub on several occasions. The booking said gym would be available but it was under renovation and that was not communicated prior to our stay. The staff that informed us of this when we asked was extremely rude about it. Otherwise, the breakfast area was nice, the manager was kind and accommodating and even discounted our room, and the location was conveniently near the base.

Not great but at least clean

I reserved an executive king room but when we arrived, the manager said they didn’t have any available that had been renovated so she recommended (without compensation) that we downgrade to a king room that had been renovated. It was ok but nothing great. Other items of note that could be easily remedied - we got TINY shampoo and soap bottles. It was barely enough for one person and not environmentally friendly. Putting dispensers in the shower, especially a newly renovated room would have been better. There were also NO shelves in the shower - nothing to set the soap or bottles on. Again, for a room that has just been redone, that was a miss. You also had to walk across the main hall to get from the shower to the sink which meant that unless you were completely dry, the floor of the hotel room was likely to get wet. Breakfast was ok, not great. The only fruit was apples and only packets of oatmeal. (Oatmeal is a pretty inexpensive hot breakfast item…) The air conditioner must have had something wrong with it. It kept chirping - continuous - sound like crickets or cicadas were in the room. Had the sound been rhythmic, we could have slept because it would have sounded like background noise. We even turned off the air conditioner (despite a heat wave) to see if it would help and the noise persisted. The room was at least clean.
