Mediocre hotel, excellent staff

The staff was great! The hotel itself needs a makeover and the rooms especially need it. The shower had mold in the caulk, the hot water never got all the way hot and the mattress was extremely worn out. Breakfast was very good and the staff was nice and supportive.

Great Hotel

This is our regular stay when we go to chicago from SC. Its the halfway point. We've been staying here for years now and it never dissapoints. Also, there is a Starbucks right next to the building and plenty of restaurants in the area, including Walmart down the road. Its a great hotel. 10/10

Stinky and dirty

The minute we walked into the building we could smell weed hit us in the face. We told the staff we saw people with their windows open clearly smoking weed. They didn't bat an eye even after we showed them exactly where it was coming from. The room didn't seem very clean either. We wiped up a tiny water spill and the cloth was disgusting. There was hair in the shower. We asked to change rooms and they were very accommodating and even admitted that we were there third cleaning complaint that evening. Would not recommend anyone stay here with kids.

Was told they accepted cash for our rooms and got there at the end of a long day of traveling and was turned away. Every other Choice hotel on our trip took cash, but this one left use scrambling for a room before it got dark

stayed in ADA accessible room which was a long way from entrance. Shower was dirty looking - I wouldn't use it. Breakfast area was not well maintained. disappointing stay!

The room is always fine - working air that gets nice and cold, and we’ve never had major cleanliness issues as we stay at this hotel every July for a family reunion. This year we came in early for a funeral - the breakfast has gone down in quality over the last couple years - the trashes on the grounds were always full and the patio furniture out front is in terrible condition that was not inviting at all. I would suggest the hotel needs some repairs and refreshed patio furniture and invests more time and effort into cleanliness (rooms not dirty but a lot of areas very dusty) as well as their breakfast. Other than that, it gets the job done and it’s clean enough where you don’t have to worry about bed bugs. 7/10 rating.

Room was not ready when we got there at 5:30 in the evening. After they said it had been cleaned and it was ready. We went to the room. The bathroom sink was dirty. The windowsill was full of ants and the floor items left on it. The sink in the bathroom water drained very very slowly, and the Kleenex provided was about the consistency of parchment paper. The beds in our room were not queen size beds that’s what was advertised.

The property was not clean. The bathroom drain in the tub was clogged making you stand in dirty bath water. Power kept going out and ice machines did not function. I would NOT stay at this hotel.
