I would like to share our experience at this hotel to help you make an informed decision before booking. Unfortunately, the rooms did not meet the standards expected of a five-star hotel. Upon arrival, the room was visibly unclean (photos attached). There was mold in the bathroom, the shower head was not functioning properly and was very dirty, and there was rust behind the sink. The bathroom fixtures clearly need replacement. The ceilings and walls require fresh paint, as there were multiple dark stains that created an unpleasant and unhygienic atmosphere. The air conditioning filter was also dirty. Additionally, the electrical socket next to the bed was detached upon arrival, posing a serious safety hazard and potential risk of electric shock. The most concerning incident involved the elevator. It became stuck and suddenly dropped approximately one floor before the doors opened after about a minute. We then attempted to use the emergency exit stairs; however, they did not lead to an actual exit but instead to what appeared to be an attic space. The stairwell door could not be reopened from our side, and we had to request assistance. The restaurant service was also disappointing. We waited 25 minutes for an omelette, and although the table was cleaned after we requested it, the waiter used an already used cloth taken from another table to wipe ours. Based on our experience, I would strongly advise future guests to carefully consider their booking.

Very disspointing stay and quite possible the worst stay I've ever had in a hotel anywhere in the world. The hotel overall needs desperate renovation, to the bones. There is an overwhelming musty and damp smell everywhere, particularly in the hallways and in the room. The air was so damp that my bedsheets were damp as well. Furniture and fittings are reminders of when this was likely last updated, which is more than 17 years ago from what I gathered from the staff. Broken tiles in the bathroom, mold and rust on the metalic fixtures, stains on furniture and lighting fixtures. A big wedding/banqueting venue nextdoor as well,which meant that in wedding season (nonvember time) it gets really loud when you're meant to sleep. Thank goodness for the absolutely amazing staff who were so friendly and helpful, they could not do enough for us. Absolutely extortionate nightly rate to pay for such conditions - GBP150 per night! Never again!
