Sorry to see you go!

We had an ocean view room and wished we had direct access to the grass below for our puppy dogs. We enjoyed our stay, the staff was excellent. We were disappointed that the restaurant and hot tub were closed and that the whole facility is being torn down. We will stay here again after the rebuild is completed.

I loved our little balcony facing the beach. We had nothing blocking our view and we had some lawn chairs. It was so nice and peaceful. We also had a fireplace in our room and a whole kitchenette/dining area space. A jacuzzi tub too. I feel the hotel should really post more pics of the space and their property. It was much nicer in person than i found via the internet.

Nice and clean

It was nice and they were open about renovations happening. Bed wasn’t the most comfortable but the views were amazing. Staff was friendly and the room was clean. They even accommodated me when I asked for an extra night. Very pleased!

Favorite location

We've been staying here for years. I always request an upper floor because the balcony views feel like you're on a cruise ship. And unfortunately that's what's about to change : ( They say the property is shutting down & will be rebuilt further back from the pounding Pacific. However they are still allowing online bookings for the upcoming summer season, in spite of reports saying they're closing April 1st. Even the employees I've asked don't truly know when/if they're closing. I love the place in spite of it's 2-star accomodations. Maybe it's 3-star? I love it because of the secluded location between 2 state parks. And it's a quick drive to Depoe Bay, Salishan or Taft. You can walk to a little grocery & there's a terrific family friendly pub nearby. My personal hotel favorite is the pool & old-fashioned sauna. I truly hope when they rebuild that they retain the affordable Oregon vibe, and don't mistakenly try for the high end 1%.

I can see why they are tearing it down. I woke up in the middle of the night with wet feet! Water was dripping from the ceiling fan onto the bed. I felt like I was in a scene from Schitt’s creek! Luckily it was just my feet and not my head. The resort just needs to be updated. Staff was great.

Screen door is corridor slammed all night during storm. Latch barely worked. Needs replacing. There was hair on the bathroom floor when we arrived and take on the floors. Didn’t feel very luxe for the money. I staye dat this resort 20 years ago and it’s definitely got rundown since then. Needs some serious updating.

The staff was great! It's a run down property that is getting ready to be demolished, so appearance and condition shows wear and tear. But the view and staff were great.

The room was filthy. I have pictures. The tv worked but no sound. We tried for an hour to get the sound to work on the tv but failed. We left at 6:15 pm we checked in at 4:00 pm. The room had crumbs all over the floor there was sand every where. The sheets on the bed were not changed.The staff at the front desk were rude. I would like a refund.
