Staff support was lacking because the OWNER won't let them do anything - he's in Chicago and they have to call him for every little thing. I'm due a refund as I checked out 3 days early - still waiting. The staff is nice, but their hands are tied and they do not follow through, which I believe is a result of the owner. I'll go to small claims court if I have to. Hotel is in midst of renovation. The hotel is tired, has stains on the carpets, in the rooms - just not pleasant. Carpet is worn; bathrooms dirty. I repeatedly told the Front Desk that I wanted to change the credit card I would be using, but they did not listen and charged the original card - which is why I'm waiting for a refund. They did NOT listen, insisting only the owner can approve. How do you operate a business if you don't trust the very employees you hired? SO FRUSTRATING. I'm also disappointed with Expedia and will not use them anymore. The lack of support is disheartening.
