Echoes of a Premier Inn. Room door had damage at bottom. No thermostat in room. Luckily I was able to open the window all the way to let cooler air in. Probably will not stay there again.

Great hotel. The staff was amazing and helpful every step of the way. Even when we had to extend our stay by three days due to New York snow storm they handled it with ease. Location is perfect for exploring Edinburgh and at the end of the day of exploring there multiple choices close for food and libations.

I am disappointed with my recent stay. On one of the nights, there was significant noise in the corridor until around 2 am. Guests were running up and down, slamming doors, and loudly singing what sounded like football songs. I was staying with a child and could not leave the room late at night. I recorded the noise at 11 pm, and it continued intermittently for several hours, making it very difficult to sleep. There were also food leftovers left near the water station in the corridor, which caused a strong unpleasant smell. When I raised the issue at checkout, the duty manager apologised but stated that he “cannot control the public.” While guest behaviour may not always be predictable, maintaining order in shared areas and ensuring a restful environment is part of the hotel’s responsibility. Unfortunately, this experience affected our stay.

Room was updated, very clean and comfortable. We had one night where an alarm went off but after that we really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is walkable to all the old town sights and the Castle. We would stay here again!

Staff were wonderful! Really nice, chatty, and helpful. Always kind and keen to help. Rooms were good for the price. Beds were comfy. Bit outdated though, and some things to help improve the stay. - no hooks anywhere! Two people staying in the room, nowhere to hang towels after a shower, nowhere to hang coats properly etc. - wardrobe space taken up by kettle / drinks area and safe. This could have been better placed at the long desk area (which had lots of unused space, particularly underneath) to maximise storage space in wardrobe. - not a suitable fan in the bathroom. - no heating control in the room. Either got very stuffy or too cold. Spa area was open 7am-10pm which is excellent. We used this on all 3 days. Didn’t expect it to be large, so size was expected. However, because it is small, it was somewhat frustrating how easily it was taken up by children. Totally appreciate & respect they want the swimming time too!! But for such a small area, once the kids were there it meant there was absolutely no way you could swim or chill out. It got incredibly loud. Would be good to have a couple of set times? Like 7-8am is just adults etc. Bar area and restaurant area were nice. Location was excellent!! Great castle views, good location for getting everywhere and nice shops/ pubs etc close by.

Great location in the middle of Edinburgh. The hotel was clean and modern with very comfortable beds. Staff were helpful and the hotel has a small pool, gym and sauna. Highly recommend.
