A bit away from the main touristy area lies the quiet Hotel Indigo. There’s a convenient tram that goes to/fro the airport. The shopping mall St James’ Quarters is behind. But to get to the Royal Mile is a slight trek. The hotel is a bit of a maze with lots of stairs and corridors; some parts have no lift access. The gym is woefully small and mostly cardio equipment—wish this could’ve been better. Service staff are nice and helpful.

Friendly staff and well appointed room. Excellent and convenient location for activities around Edinburgh sightseeing. Only issue for me was being disturbed by traffic/tram noise in the early mornings.

This is probably one of the best hotel you can stay in Edinburgh - so accessible to everything . The Highest point scenic view calton hills is 7 min walk - trains is 7 min walk - mall is 5 min walk - hop on hop off bus 7 min walk - and the best one is tram to the airport 2 min walk . It’s like almost in front of the hotel - I’ll stay here again and well recommended - staff are very helpful and friendly.

Anniversary stay

First time staying as recommended by family and friends. Excellent stay.My daughter had called hotel to say it was a special anniversay and they had upgraded our room and gave us complimentary goodies with a card. All sraff very helpful and friendly and demonstrated excellent customer service.Great breakfast with plenty of choice. Room very comfortable so great nights sleep. Vincent spoke to my daughter on the phone and he was lovely and only too pleased to help with her request. Thanks for lovely stay.

On Arriving at the property it didn’t look much but as we entered the hotel had a beautiful smell, the Staff were welcoming. Our room was beautiful and we had two towel swans on the bed with a note wishing my husband a happy birthday. The only thing that I didn’t like was the room got very cold at night and the road traffic woke us quite early. The Breakfast was super and there was a lot of choice.
