A stay in Erie

The staff were very friendly but this was not the most impressive stay at a hotel that we’ve had. The room was not the cleanest and the carpet wasn’t vacuumed and the bathroom floor had debris on it. There were no washcloths or enough towels in the room and when I went to get some from the front desk was told I would need to come back in a half hour. We have stayed at this hotel before and had positive experiences but this time will make me rethink my choices in the future.

Great deal

The guy at the front desk was working alone and slammed. Someone had taken the knob off of the refrigerator adjustment and we couldn’t get it cooling. This sweet man went up to our room, couldn’t repair it so he have us the room next door. The room was clean (except the shower grout). The thermostat kept the temperature that we set the room at perfectly. The price was great for a safe, comfortable stay. Breakfast was also good!

Bed and sheets was full of stains and crumbs. Floors were also not clean and hair was in the bathtub when we first got to the room. When we asked for new bedding, we were told we had to put it on ourselves. The new questionable clean bedding was also full of stains. Be gentle with towels, they are akin to sandpaper

Used to be good, but not this time

It started when I checked into my room. We go to the room... and it was propped open with the inside lock bar. So anyone could have been in the room before we went in. The beds looked like either someone sat on them or they weren't nicely made. Then we noticed that one of the beds was missing the top sheet (just had fitted sheet and blankets on top). We checked in after 11pm, so we did not call down to complain because we just wanted to sleep (we also knew the hotel was packed, by what the clerk told us at check in and seeing the full parking lot). The next morning, breakfast was insanely busy. The dining area was too small and understaffed to handle all the guests coming in. People were waiting in line for more than a half hour, there weren't places to sit and there were always things needed to be replaced. The worker was constantly trying to keep up with the demand, but things were running out faster than she could bring them out. I was there earlier than my children, so I was able to get eggs; after about 8:15 they weren't replaced after they ran out. Overall, this place was disappointing on this trip. I had stayed here a few months ago by myself and had no issues, but it wasn't the summer and super busy.

Nice hotel. It had a Sheetz convenience/gas station across the road. Did not eat breakfast but my husband did and he said there was not alot to choose from because they were all out or the food wasn't fully cooked. The beds were comfortable. The room was nice but did not like that the sink was not in the bathroom. It was across from bathroom. The elevator made a strange noise, not sure what was wrong and it jolted when it stopped. All and all we enjoyed our stay!

We booked and were charged for a handicap accessible suite and were given a standard room and told it was good because the door was wide enough for a wheelchair.

This Baymont was quite nice and affordable. The location served us well as it was near our family. Breakfast in hotel was typical, with several meal opportunities in the immediate area. The stay was nice and comfortable with one of the few problems being convenience of water and ice. The main problem we had with our room was the shower. It had a glass door, which opened the wrong way and was missing the seal at the bottom and flooded the floor with each shower. The staff were very friendly and polite. When we arrived at the property in the afternoon our room wasn't ready, so we did our laundry while we waited. We think that the proximity to the casino and the interstate causes this hotel to be full every night, and the staff is always busy.

This is the third time we’ve stayed at this hotel in the last year but it will most likely be the last. The second time we stayed we had family with us and we had 3 different rooms. 2 of our rooms didn’t have enough towels and when we asked for more we were told there weren’t any. When we checked in this time there was only 1 towel in our room. I went to the front desk and asked for more and I was told they would try to find some. I went back later and was given 2 towels that were the smallest bath towels I’ve ever seen in my life. I don’t feel that we should have to share towels when we don’t even do that at home. Do better!

Breakfast was always under maintained. Food selection was limited and items kept running out. No eggs or sausages for over 30 minutes. No orange juice. Coffee kept running out. Pastries/Baked goods not refilled. No cutlery available two days in a row for over 30 min. Not sure how staff does not see or realize there is no cutlery. Our bath towel did not get replaced nor did our box of Kleenex and the hair conditioner was empty.
