Great staff needs facility management suoport.

This place was likely a fine establishment in its heyday. The staff is trying hard to delver the best they can. However, the lack of funding for facility maintenance is clearly showing. It's located on US 1, conveniently close the the famous Longwood Gardens. The price was fair. The contitions were disappointing. Hi-tech door locks were installed unprofessionally, leaving a poor first impression. Our bathroom door lacked hardware to latch closed. The electric for plugging in the TV, and your computers or chargers was downright dangerously loose. All of the recepackes (outlets) were loose! Thats a fire waiting to happen. The beds were okay, but the pillows were srangly soft and folded in half in their cases. The pickup breakfast was institutional "free" quality. The food, tables, silverware, garbage, arrangement in the dining area was so confusing, it created a traffic jam like a circus show of clowns. I hope they improve. We'll stay somewhere else next time.

Charming old hotel within walking distance of a few good restaurants. Great location for visiting the Brandywine Museum of Art and Longwood Gardens. Standard cold breakfast buffet with limited seating if the hotel is full.

Great Hotel

This is my go-to hotel when I am in the area. Nice rooms, particularly the ones with the jetted tub & fireplace, and helpful staff. Very convenient to Longwood Gardens and Winterthur.

I just loved that it was not a cookie-cutter chain hotel. It has personality. The free breakfast had good options and was in a lovely, sunny room. Location was perfect for us.

It is a cute cosy place, and near some rustic shops. But it has its problems. Check in was online via emailed link. Worked, but was confused by advertising. Room entry was by keypad. Took some getting used to. Breakfast bar was not well thought out. After same baked good for 3 days, some were not edible. Milk for cerial was not labled, some was actually half and half. Also, there is a trip hazard right in front of the breakfast bar. Almost everyhone trips on it the first time they approach the bar.
