My stay was generally fine, but my check-in experience with a rude staff member significantly impacted my overall impression of the hotel. As a solo traveler, first impressions matter, and unfortunately the front desk interaction felt very cold and unwelcoming.
The front desk agent did not make eye contact, did not explain any hotel amenities or procedures, and responded dismissively when I asked a question, leaving another staff member to answer instead. This made me feel uncomfortable and unsettled upon arrival, especially traveling alone.
In addition, there was confusion around an incidental charge placed on my room, which was later resolved at checkout by the floor manager. Usually incidental charges are showed up as pending but mine went through and had to be refunded later.
While I understand everyone can have an off day, hospitality begins at the front desk, and this experience fell below expectations.
