The room was clean but it smelled faintly musty the whole time. It also was extremely too bright at night as the blinds did little to block the light that was right outside the door and could not be turned off. I also saw and killed the largest roach I’ve ever seen in the bathroom. But all in all it wasn’t horrible. And the bracelet that you use to unlock the room door is very modern. The pool and hot tub looked great but the weather was not cooperative so we didn’t use either.

Great Weekend

We had an enjoyable weekend. Thanks to the Matanza Inn completing renovations after Hurricane Ian caused devastation to the island. We have spent many long weekends here and continue. Rooms are very clean and spacious. The property is well maintained. Penny is very personable and was very accommodating.

Very nice hotel on the bay. This was our 3rd stay. Convenient to great restaurants. They have a beautiful pool that we used each day. The staff was very friendly and helpful with suggestions. Would stay here again

Great, Great, Great!!!

We planned a staycation for my friend's birthday weekend. Room was a great location overlooked restaurant and the water for an amazing view! Penny was very accommodating to our needs. We were able to walk to a lot of places. Pool and Spa were very relaxing. The only issue I would mention is the HVAC until was leaking water all over the floor. Otherwise, we had a great time and will definitely be back in the future.

I stayed one night for a girl's beach trip and Islandhopper Songwriter Festival. The location was perfect! Walking distance to everything we wanted to see and do. Restaurant and bar on property were great. Enjoyed a sunrise over the marina in the morning, a short walk from our room.
