We chose this rental for a special trip and were initially excited about the location, which truly is beautiful. The balcony view and proximity to the beach were definite highlights.Unfortunately, the condition of the unit itself did not meet expectations for the price point. Upon arrival and throughout our stay, we noticed visible dust on surfaces, significant scratching on furniture, water damage on kitchen cabinet edges, and several towels with dark stains. While the host later stated their housekeeper denied leaving stained towels and that extensive cleaning had been completed prior to arrival, that was not consistent with what we personally observed during our stay.There were also safety concerns. The glass on the bedroom entertainment center protrudes outward in a way that presents a hazard, and a decorative glass piece on the unit was chipped on the back, which resulted in a cut when it was moved. These are issues that should be addressed to prevent future guests from being injured.Additionally, the bedroom TV stopped working on the first day of our stay. The host did communicate and apologize, and we were initially told it would be replaced Friday, then Saturday, but it was never replaced prior to our departure. While we tried to be flexible and indicated at the time that it was “no big deal,” we ultimately had to purchase a TV and new towels ourselves to make the stay comfortable. At this price point, guests should not feel the need to supply basic amenities.
