The property was very nice and unique! The staff went above and beyond. One example was carrying my luggage up the stairs (insisted) since it does not have an elevator. They also took time to write recomendations on a map for us during our stay. If I am lucky enough to visit Ghent again I will be certain to stay at this hotel again. The location was just perfect too. So close to the center and very walkable. It also had parking for those with a car.

Excellent stay! The hotel is centrally located, you can easily walk or take the tram to different points of interest, cute cafes and boutique shops. Very stylish decor and ambience. However, it was not as quiet as we wished, the other guests could be heard outside and above. Also, we recommend a wall AC unit or fan, it was a bit warm in our room. We were on the ground floor and did not want to open our windows wide because of mosquitoes and privacy. Other than that, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Jenny and Guinness for a welcoming visit. Overall, highly recommend!

A lovely surprise

Loved it. After a few rubbish hotels while traveling around this was a place we could finally relax and enjoy. Spacious, characterful and comfy. Lovely bathroom too.

El unico problema fue que la regadera tenia un piso sumamente resbaloso, pero eso se puede corregir con antiderrapante. Aparte de eso las instrucciones para llegar estuvieron super claras, el cuarto de muy buen tamaño y muy bien organizado. Muy bonito y limpio el hotel y sobretodo la atencion del personal fue muy buena !

Clean, nice, good location

I had a very comfortable stay at Boutique Hotel Onderbergen. It was easy to find my way here from the train station via tram, and the street it is on is quiet and safe. It was a very easy walk to the main tourist area, about a 10 minute walk in essentially a straight line. Again, I always felt safe and comfortable. The room itself was nice. Comfortable mattress, clean bathroom, safe provided in wardrobe, coffee, toiletries. The reason I didn't give the room 5 stars is because apparently my "class" of room didn't include a refrigerator. For this tier of hotel, that should be expected. I asked the front desk if they had one that they could bring up, and they said no. They did offer (and I accepted) to hold my items in the restaurant refrigerator, which was not ideal but did work out. I would think a hotel like this should at least provide a fridge on request. Staff was very friendly, provided some sightseeing tips on arrival, held my bags before my room was ready, etc. I would recommend this accomodation.

A wonderful check in experience with a very friendly and informative receptionist who made us feel really very welcome. Room was clean and bright surg everything we needed as a family of four for one night. Location very good, yet quiet at night.

We had an excellent stay for two nights in a room of four. Great staff, great area, very easy to walk to everywhere. Good underground parking lot at less than five minute walk for 15 euros. Only downside for us is that the walls seem pretty thin so we could hear outside noise when there was some. To be expected in an old building. All in all, we had a very nice time in Ghent it is a great city.
