staff were excellent , could not be more helpful . Room was so spacious and kept to a high standard ate in restaurant both nights of our stay , viewing other places to eat we found the hotel restaurant much better both decor service and food,many thanks to all the staff , so central. If i had to pick a fault i would have to make it up (which i won’t) The parking was first rate , we got parked no bother however beware it’s first come first servered. Many thanks to all the staff.

Check in perfect friendly helpful polite staff, unfortunately room had no windows and we were not informed of this, making the room hot stuffy and uncomfortable, the staff did try to resolve this and were giving fans to help which didn’t, can’t fault the staff or hotel just mos informed on a room

Very tired hotel, room extremely warm no aircon, portable fan useless, just circulated the hot air. Water pressure very weak in shower!. No fridge or safe in room. Female receptionist very helpful, both male receptionists unhelpful, dissinterested to the point of rudeness. Breakfast staff were lovely as was the food.

Unbearable conditions in room

Hotel beautiful but... Accepting it was a very hot day, our room was unbearable. The two old and useless fans in our room barely blew and no air con. We asked if they had any different fans but they didn't. Given the standard of the hotel I was shocked that there weren't better facilities for the comfort of customers. If they had spent half of the money they had on cushions, they could have put air con units or a decent fan in every room. We left a complaint with reception for the duty manager but they decided not to bother contacting us about it.

Booked this hotel 10mins before checking in due to an issue at original hotel. Staff were great and although we ricked up at 2pm, we were checked in quickly and room was available. Room spaciouscand modern with a great suzed shower room. Breakfast items were of a good quality and only £10/person so excellent value! Will definitely stay again and would be my 1st choice in Harrogate, due to its convenience and service overall.

Very central for all facilities within Harrogate. Loved the dining room for breakfast on the higher floor, providing views across Harrogate. Excellent breakfast using local quality produce. Loved it, and will return!

Very good location. Parking is expensive at the hotel. A very tired hotel in need of redecoration. Bathroom toiletries were terrible/miserly and view onto bins from our room was disgusting and noisy. Would not return.

Ideal location.

We had a lovely 2 night stay. The standard double was a good size. Large comfortable bed (two joined singles), modern bathroom with a generous shower. A fan was provided as it was very warm at night. Not the greatest view and the occasional noise of the bottle bins being emptied! The breakfast was a good selection with the added bonus of a great view. We loved the quirky ‘Yorkshire’ references. Ideal location. We used the train for a trip to Knaresborough.

Travellers log. 2-45am room temperature still around 30 degrees Been in bed now 3 hours, alcohol has failed. Wife's making small snoring gestures but i can tell she's giving up, Tried opening window wider but it's restricted to 6 inches if only there was air. At the stage now where touching skin has become unbearable, hand now beginning to shake and finding it difficult to go on, wish me welllll.

didn't like the lifts. floor numbers didn't match the actual floor. \staff agreed with our views of the lifts. The Lifts took a long time to reach the requested floor. the towels were rough and not fully "white" No toweling shower mat. No continental breakfast with meats and cheese. The room was perfectly clean. Nice that the window had been open. the cool air fan was barely adequate, not enough power. Outside table were a super addition since the last time we visited. The decor was excellent in the public areas, except the breakfast room. Carpet was very dirty, with tape to identify dangerous area. \would go there again for the central location.

At the very most this hotel is only a 3 star, paid to upgrade to a deluxe room, other than a huge bed there was nothing luxurious, carpet was marked and no air conditioning so was unbelievably hot. No dressing gown or slippers or luxurious products. And room was really only suitable for a short stay as very poor storage.
