My room was changed at my request because I couldn’t climb the stairs. We were unaware that one of our keys was missing. My daughter took a photo of our room and it shows a toothpick used and broken on the silver tray in the room . When I showed this to the clerk he was uninterested. Anyway we found the key so I was not charged the 50 dollars. A little nicer clerk would be helpful.

Absolutely worth a stop. So much character and history! We loved having a sitting area as part of our room, which even included an in-room library. The tilework in the bathroom was exquisite! An absolute haven where we could unwind after a wonderful day exploring Petrified Forest National Park. Dinner in the Turquoise Room was excellent. You can watch trains pull in and out of the station while you enjoy their signature black bean/sweet corn soup and other Southwest deliciousness! Spend time exploring their fabulous gardens, they are storied and beautiful. So much love has gone into restoring this classic place, we are so glad we stayed.

The staff were communicative & welcoming. Our room had two full-size comfortable beds and a requested fridge was nice to have since we’re on a long road trip. Nice thick towels were provided along all natural body products from Los Poblanos in New Mexico. We enjoyed a gallery of unique paintings on the third floor by Tina Mion,the owner of La Posada. We highly recommend the historical La Posada Hotel.

Easy walk to downtown shopping and dining. The hotel is beautiful and has a walking museum and gardens. The only downside was the whirlpool tub in our room broke so they switched us to a different room and on the last day that tub broke also. We enjoyed staying here and would stay again.

Loved the building and grounds. There was no exhaust fan in bathroom, perhaps due to respecting the original architecture.
