This is a beautifully restored hotel full of amazing art. The room was quiet even though the hotel is, actually, the Amtrak stop for Winslow. Very nice restaurant in the hotel.

The rooms should have a mini-fridge. Many medications these days require refrigeration. Having signs in the hotel parking lot saying 'park at your own risk' was not very reassuring. Obviously, not having an elevator is not ideal, but we were warned in advance. Because of this, staff should always offer to help carry luggage to a second floor room. Since I am a 65-year-old woman and was travelling on my own, it would have been appreciated. As it is, I managed to get everything to the room, but it took multiple trips

An Arizona Gem

Lots of Southwest character. A unique hotel with lots of history. We stayed in the Gary Cooper room, and while it was on the small side, it was cozy and authentically on theme. It didn’t feel manufactured. No view from this room but there’s not much to “view” in and around Winslow. Dinner and breakfast were superb in the Turquoise Room. The art in the main hotel was interesting and the Hubble-Joe Navajo Rug in the separate museum is just stunningly breathtaking. It’s worth the trip just to see that. Our only minor complaint is that pretty much every chair, booth, and bed were not very comfortable. It was fine but every sitting or laying surface seemed worn out or of questionable structural integrity. Overall a small blemish on a fantastic stay for our anniversary. I highly recommend La Posada.

Make sure to eat at The Turkoise Room. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The pictures don’t give you a real sense of this amazing property. The room was charming and felt like staying as a guest not a hotel, yet everything you needed was there. The hotel is quite large and has many comfortable sitting areas. It must have been very grand when it was first built! Skip the newer hotels for this gem!

The dining is a lovely experience and the atmosphere of the entire property was amazing. A historic property with beautiful architecture and lovely antiques throughout the place! The gift shop has an amazing selection of pieces some vintage items and all very pretty pieces! Truly one of the best places I’ve ever visited!

Give yourself time to see it all.

The hotel can be a destination not just a travel through night. Next time we will come for an extra night. There is a train station, a top notch museum, Tina Mion Art gallery, a excellent restaurant, cutest checkin gift shop, nice book store, native plantings and something to look and learn from at each turn. The entire complex is living history and a delight to explore.

Beautifully restored historic hotel. Very nice staff ( front desk, bartender and wait staff at the turquoise room ) fantastic food. Loved watching the trains go by From all the large windows.
