Bathroom was dirty and tub drain wouldn't drain. Shower curtain filthy and room door was an inch off the floor. After my first shower and standing in over ankle deep water, I went to the front desk to ask for help. Nobody showed up till about 10pm with a bottle of draino. I left after only one night. They will not give me any kind of credit for the day I stayed. Poorly managed property. I would not recommend at all.

The property was great but honestly the rooms need to get some things fixed. Remember my review is based on the money we paid for the room and i believe that a room that costs over $275 a night shouldn't have blinds broken and lights that are not working and phones that do not work to communicate with front desk, Also had some rain leak thru the window. This are minor stuff that can or probably will be fixed by the time you stay. Other than that I love the property and location.

We will be back

With the exception of the loud pool area music, it was a peaceful place to be. The staff was awesome and it was generally clean and well kept - except for the floors in our room which needed serious mopping. That being said, the music volume was lowered when we asked and the floors can be cleaned (we might bring our sniffer next time!). Sean and Sonja were great and very professional. The rest of the staff was always polite and friendly.

Buyer Beware: This is NOT a resort. We stayed for one night in the Dos Palmas room with my two daughters and my in laws. This was supposed to be a little mother's day getaway at what i thought was a 4 star resort. It was absolutely not that. It is advertised as having a private beach. It does not. If you know the Florida Keys, you already know the ocean here doesn't have a manicured shore like on the Atlantic coast's artificial beaches. However, some of the area properties create little lagoons or inlets with small man made beaches. I assumed it was like that. It was not. There is a tiny slip area where you can push out the kayaks and paddle boards they rent which is in a functioning marina where there are also jet skis and water taxis running. It is covered in thick seaweed and rocks and not any type of beach that an adult much less a child could enjoy. False advertising. The unit we stayed in showed pictures of the guest rooms from the hotel, not the actual rooms of the villa. The furniture is old and chipped. The one lamp in the main room is broken. No cups or bowls or anything in the kitchenette. Furniture is stained and old. The unit was INFESTED with little winged bugs in various states

Our stay could have been better but it seemed as if the staff didn't care. The resort rooms are in need of some tlc, beds were ok pillows are very thin, water temp is inconsistent, pool was HOT which made us not want to use it during the day as it wasn’t refreshing to be in. The staff was hit or miss, none of them seemed to be communicating well with each other as none of them gave the same times for the pool, kayak/paddle board rentals, or told us if breakfast in the lobby was included or not. One night the pool was open until around 11pm. The signs say until sunset which was around 8pm. A different night we tried to go out around 8-9pm and it was already closed down for the night. When asking staff they couldn’t really give us a reason why or tell us a specific time it was open different days. I requested a late check out that was approved via email and then received a reminder from someone at the front desk that checkout was at 11am. I had to message them back to remind them we requested a late check out. Poor communication that turns into poor service. The housekeeping staff was inconsistent as well. We had to request other towels, toilet paper, service. Even after requesting specific things they weren’t done. The restaurant/pool bar is just the pool bar also. They have to get food delivered from a different restaurant so the wait is longer. The bar only has wine based drinks so it’s not really a bar. Overall I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend to anyone else.
