I stayed at the Margaritaville Hotel, Jacksonsville Florida recently for 4 days. I’m a doctor but I am also a secret shopper for a few different restaurants.
When it was check in time at 4pm at the front desk, the room was not ready. I had to come back later and was given a different room. My room had no shower door on one side of the shower which allowed the shower head to spray a large amount of water onto the bathroom floor. I had to towel it up after each shower. The shower head could have been located on the opposite end of the shower stall to prevent this. No light switch in the room turned off the light in between the beds. There was no switch on the lamp to turn it on and off so I had to take the actual bulb out of the socket to turn off the light. The bathrobes provided were scratchy and hard. If bathrobes are going to be provided, they should be soft and comfortable. The elevator required each person to swipe the room card on the elevator sensing board first before the elevator would travel to the appropriate floor. There was always a little confusion for newbies riding the elevator. The hotel was in a great location next to the pier
