The resort is nice and spread out. Service is hit and miss. We had excellent seafood and mediocre steaks. In general, decent food at buffets, Argentina, French, Seafood restaurant. Thai restaurant was bad! I lost a nice thermist at Playa beach, family section. I have been to at least 15 resorts in Quintana Roo and this is the first time I lost an item. I requested for a camera review but people at concierge desk don't seem to care. They never get back to me.

Upgraded stay to VIP guest in TRS Yucatán because of my Expedia membership and it’s absolutely phenomenal experience. Love the food, drinks, night entertainments and unbelievable service by staff. There are so many pools, restaurants, and bars to choose from that you can spend each day in a new area if you choose to. We stayed for a week and still didn't have enough time to try each dinner restaurant. Overall the food, service, and grounds were excellent. We never once worried about our valuables being left out in our room or by the pool.

Room was not ready when we arrived: phone didn’t work, tv didn’t work, bed our grandson was going to sleep on had mold on mattress. Room old and dirty. We were moved to new room. Portofino rest grossly overcharged us on wine. Never received itemized charges. Future guests should beware of bait & swtch scam with wines at restaurants: very fraudulent. I estimate that we were charged $150-$200 a bottle without knowing prices. Our bill totaled $658 for 3-4 bottles. We would never purchase wine at those prices. This practice has to stop.
