Very mixed review: My son and I just stayed at the Bluebird. I was very pleased with the cleanliness of the room and beds were comfortable. It is pretty barebones so if you are looking for something with bells and whistles, keep looking. It was recently renovated but still feels old and hallways are so dark. had musty smell. Elevator needs a huge makeover. Air conditioning very loud in room. Great location. Very affordable.

We were pleasantly surprise by an amazing style this property is being renovated in. It’s still in the process of renovation so some parts look better than others but overall the hotel is being renovated in great style. The pool was out of order because of renovation I assume. The only minus was that our window was in the hill. Our view was in the hill. One morning the raccoon passed by our window and we actually found it very entertaining. But I would no leave the windows opened since it was leveled with the outside ground.

Everything advertised for the property was pretty much a lie. The pool is under construction half of the property was under construction and multiple utilities did not work. The rooms have no closets even in a room for four people, and there is no restaurant only ordering from a different area shipped over for appetizers. Multiple times the staff told kids they could not run around in the building also even though it’s advertised as a family hotel. I would not suggest us as a top option for a hotel in Lake Placid.

Nice 3 night getaway.

Fun stay. Lots to do. Loved the room and lobby. Clean and modern. Staff was friendly. Comfortable bed , nice sitting room with couch in our room. Breakfast was a little skimpy. No phones in room. Only internet tv. Would stay here again. Good location to walk to sites and restaurants and shops.
