When I made reservations I specifically asked for a room no more than 6 floors up but we were put on the 17th floor. I wanted a lower level room for more convenience. The rooms here are about 30 years outdated. I asked if we could be moved to the newer tower but was told no rooms were available. There must have been a country rodeo going on this weekend because all I saw was cowboys with boots and five gallon hats and big belt buckles. It seem as if everyone in the hotel was smoking so it was difficult to breath at times. Being close to the entertainment of Freemont was ok and we enjoyed being so close to that but will never stay at Golden Nugget again.

I had an item stolen from my room, an expensive item. And also my sink was used for makeup application that wasn’t mine and left that way. I also asked to not have service, and they serviced my room anyway, and that’s when my time was taken. I made a report and asked me to call risk management . Which I called four times when I came home, and they never answered and never called back. So I called golden nugget again, and I have heard nothing. They will not do anything for you if your items are stolen! They also put me in a room with one full size bed for 2 people. So I had to upgrade which was costly. . I won’t stay there again

There was no customer service in the lobby. Check in was done through computer automated screen in the lobby that forced you to upgrade and no choice to skip over the offers. No one to help with luggage. I had to make 3 trips to bring down the luggage to the car.

Having live staff available to assist with check in/check out (your computer system sucks) rooms are old and not well taken care of. the only decent thing in the room was the water pressure and the pillows. Staff should be able to provide the same information. Due to low staffing bodies, customer service has decreased tremendously. Definitely not the great hotel it once was.
