Checked in and was given a room with no working tv and 2 double beds after requesting a king. The bathroom look like a cheap Motel with rust spots all over the tub, wallpaper coming off the walls and it was just horrible all together. After speaking to 3 different people about it the next day they moved us to another room with doubles and just as bad as the last room. I won’t be staying at Golden Nugget again.

I already booked and paid fully in advance for a “Spa Suite” They overbooked me and treated me in a way I feel should be investigated by BBB. They didn’t inform me they downgraded my room. I called and they first mention I booked from a third-party, meaning Expedia. So does that mean I’m not going to get treated fair if I book from Expedia? Unbelievable. They then proceed to offer me to waive resort charge and $100 in food/beverages - that doesn’t come close to making even what I already paid and downgrading me. I was told management would call me back. Nobody has called me back and it’s been past a day. I may never support anything with Golden Nugget ever again. I may never book a hotel through Expedia again because what is the point if I am being cheated like this by the hotels? I am not going to just accept this - I will file with the BBB and contact all parties involved

The first room smelled so bad we had to change rooms. The next one was ok but the bathtubs were in ill repair I would not take a bath in them, the enamel was chipping off in big patches. The Coffee pot was missing and they could not replace it. It took three days of asking for one before they told us they could not. The safe was locked and security had to come and open it for us to use and the entry door got stuck once and maintenance had to come and open it. We stood in the hall for a while waiting. They did refund the upgrade for the coffee pot and fridge.

We had a great time. The only negative was that the hotel has really pushy high pressure sales folks right at the lobby trying to give you “free” tickets to shows to sit through time share presentations.

We have stayed at the Golden Nugget 35 plus years. Its a comfortable, easy going casino and area that feels safe even when we are roaming around at 3am. Lots of good food choices, from reasonable and delicious breakfasts to high end dinners. We have stayed on the Strip many times too but always return to the Nugget. So it has been awhile since our return. We came at the end of the pandemic. We gave service/open dining places etc a "pass" because of the times. One thing we noted at the Nugget was the filthy carpeting on our floor. Just super stained and not what was expected. I'm not being picky. This last week was a shock because the carpeting was as filthy looking as before. I couldn't stop looking at it and being unhappy about it. Why is this acceptable? BTW, our room cleaner I think her name was Marisol was outstanding. Friendly and very committed to doing a great job. Highly commend her work ethic.
