**Read Me** Be prepared to drive from the town of Leavenworth 40+ minutes (20+ miles) to get here. I didn’t and kicked myself later. The good: room was comfortable and I have no feedback, it was quiet and we slept well, the little restaurant attached is cute and the food is good, the staff was amazing-we loved the gal wearing many hats (desk attendant and waitresses)! The bad: parking upon arrival was a nightmare (6:30 pm) and I believe it’s because it’s the only bar for miles so a bunch of locals are taking in “the nightlife” because the next morning only 4 cars existed in the lot. I also wish they would have maintained a secondary door lock system AND white sheets are a hospitality standard so grey patterned sheets made me a bit nervous. The ugly: the shower curtain liner and bath mat were not clean and it gave me the heeby-geeby’s. If you book it, you won’t be disappointed but you’ve been forewarned about the minor negatives in advance.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Squirrel Tree! It felt like a real life Hallmark movie with the snow in the Cascade Mountains, the Christmas decorations in the restaurant and the quaint feel of the inn. It was very clean and spacious, and we appreciated the comfy pillows and extra blankets in the closet. The owner is so kind and even walked us up to our room. It’s about 30 minutes away from downtown Leavenworth, but the drive is so pretty, especially with the snow! We will most definitely be staying here again!

Great little property but be aware if you get room 7 it’s right above the bar and if you are early to bed good luck. They do provide ear plugs. It’s was not explained before we booked. Quick scenic drive to Levenworth. Over all good experience.

Breakfast wasn't complimentary, only discounted. Check-in was confusing (must check in at restaurant or bar. The instructions on here say contact the hotel, but the hotel doesn't write back if you do that - they have to be called. If you're not there by the time they want to close the restaurant, they call you to check in. The 11 pm comment doesn't matter.). Room was lacking things like a bath mat for the shower (shower only), and ample towels. (2 only - for 2 people). Pillows were a mix of memory foam, feather, and maybe one standard. Hotel is about 20 minutes outside of Leavenworth. Scenery was lovely.
