Lovely hotel , good location

Lovely old skool hotel , my room was clean and functional , the bathroom was also highly adequate , my only misgivings was the bed was too soft for my usual sleeping comfort

Currently undergoing a refurbishment, the staff were excellent and explained everything. The work did not detract from my stay and I believe once complete this will be a stunning location.

Stayed here for the 3rd or 4th time. Rooms are a little dated and could do with being updated however for the price, closeness to the centre and train station its worth staying at and will stay again. Breakfast was lovely as usual.

So so

Great central location and nice lobby but the outside is covered in scaffolding and the room was pretty shabby. Only shower over bath and pretty poor with loose fittings, but clean and plenty of hot water. Most frustrating thing was the parking, charged at £20 a night add on and breakfast was extra too. Overall Travel lodge accommodation with nice lobby and hidden charges.
