The Fourviere is a staggeringly lovely hotel in a beautifully renovated period property. Our room had a great view of the Cathederal and was easy walking distance from both funiculars. The breakfast was very good and offered lots of options to suit my dairy intolerance. The indoor spa and outdoor heated pool were very relaxing.

Beautifully designed and converted monastery . Great hillside location outside the centre close to the Basilica overlooking Lyon -which is a 25 minute downhill walk. If you want to be away from the hustle and bustle of the city this will be perfect . Very Comfortable rooms, quality linens and robes and very impressive service throughout the hotel. Restaurant well worth visiting for incredible food. Small spa - long lap pool in the quiet gardens - very uncomfortable sunbeds ! Apart from that small niggle - very Highly recommended.

This hotel is on the top of hill with excellent views, but still a 5 min walk to public transport to take you to Old Town. Beautiful building with a great restaurant. It was super quiet and the staff were more than helpful and friendly. Great choice for a great city.

recently stayed at Fourvière Hôtel Lyon and had a wonderful experience. The architecture of the property is truly impressive, with unique and elegant design elements yet also a welcoming atmosphere. The location is in a quiet area, which made for a peaceful and relaxing stay. The staff were incredibly friendly, always greeting me with a smile and ready to assist with anything I needed. The cleanliness of the hotel was exceptional, with every area well-maintained and spotless. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and I would definitely return!

Excellent service at the check in by Anthony who was professional, very friendly and knowledgeable regarding the property. We absolutely love the room, lots of space and quiet. The restaurant on site Les téléphones was gorgeous regarding the service by Lisa and Thibault and the food too. We enjoyed our stay with all of you. Beautiful property in a quiet but convenient area. Lovely spacious rooms, which were impeccable. Real bonus to have the heated swimming pool in November. Staff were very gracious and accommodating. A few improvements to suggest: maybe some hotel and area information in the rooms would be good; the ‘international TV channels’ advertised aren’t accessible (not an issue for us, but some people may be expecting these); reorganisation of the breakfast area - it’s a stunning setting but quite chaotic due to lack of space between tables and food self service areas. Overall, a beautiful, well maintained hotel, good value and worth the effort of the funicular to Fourvière. We would definitely return here.
