Super convenient

There is no way we would have found this on our own. We had to drop our car off at the airport and planned on dropping luggage off at the hotel first. We drove around using Google maps and big, what a fiasco that was!!! Thankfully we ended up getting a taxi from the airport. We were pleasantly surprised that our room was ready much earlier than we expected. It was a typical room. Two twin beds, and bathroom. We both slept well having been traveling and a bit stressed. Front desk staff were lovely and very helpful. Getting a taxi wasn’t a problem and very quick. We had a decent meal in the restaurant in the evening. We didn’t get breakfast as we slept till the last possible moment before heading back to the airport for our flight.

Very nice, comfortable, clean, quiet hotel with a very good breakfast and free parking, but hate the integrated top bedsheet/comforters. Have been a real problem in Spain where the heat in individual rooms can't be effectively adjusted and the windows can barely be opened and don't have bug screens. Sweltering hot under the integrated bedsheet/comforter, always need at least a bedsheet over. Prevents sleep, creates hatred.

Great location close to airport, with a convenient restaurant on site, serving breakfast and dinner. Great welcome by evening staff who told us breakfast served 7:30 - 10:30. Good breakfast selection but when I arrived at 10 a.m., staff began to put food away, by 10 :15 half of items gone and by 10:30 only one tray of breakfast food left. I watched app 8 people arrive between 10:15 - 10:25 to find little to nothing left.

Quick stop in Malaga

Great location for airport travel. Convenient buses to downtown area. Food in restaurant was ok, not great. Heating was to hot in room and the hotel turned off the Centralized air conditioning due to cold temperatures, which wasn't the case.

The hotel itself was fine and the front desk staff was friendly. While close to the airport it isn't really that easy to get to. Apparently the A bus will get you there, but we took that bus when we first arrived in Malaga and it didn't go near the Holiday Inn express as far as we were aware. Perhaps there is a second A bus? But doesn't seem as straightforward as one would expect. Walking is not safe - the roads are busy, not well lit, and no sidewalks so easy to get hit by a car I think (we arrived late at night). We ended up taking a cab, but from the airport there was a 20Euro minimum which was a lot for a 2 minute drive. The cab fare from the hotel back to the airport was less expensive as there was no minimum charge. We also found the hallway noise disruptive through the night, but we didn't hear any planes. Perhaps we were just unlucky and happened to have neighbours that were noisy? But both my husband and I were woken a few times through the night by people in the hallways.
