Welcome to Fireside Lodge—a newly renovated cabin inside Massanutten Resort featuring an upgraded kitchen with tile backsplash, fresh paint, updated furniture, wood-burning fireplace, tiled showers, and stylish décor. This gorgeous log cabin offers beautiful Shenandoah Valley views, front porch balconies, and a private screened-in porch backing up to the Shenandoah National Forest—perfect for wildlife watching and peaceful mountain mornings. Located in the heart of Massanutten Resort.

We own the neighboring property, which is also rented out and can be rented with this property if you're looking for more space! Inquire for more information!

WELCOME TO MASSANUTTEN!
This home is in a private residential neighborhood and is part of the Massanutten Property Owners Association (MPOA), governed by its rules and regulations. There are rental homes in all MPOA neighborhoods, but people also live here. Your nearby neighbors may be full-time residents, including families with children, retirees, second-home owners and other guests enjoying their retreat.

NOISE
Quiet hours: 10 PM - 7 AM.
Keep noise indoors during these hours.
No excessive noise at any time, as judged by MPOA or its assigned agents.

PARKING
Keep all tires off the road.
Don’t block fire hydrants or park in front of another property without written approval from your host.
Park only in designated areas or overflow lot (4007 Peak Dr., Massanutten, VA 22840
No buses, campers, or RVs to be parked at homes or on roads. Overflow lot is available with written approval from your host.

OUTDOOR FIRES
High wildfire risk area!
No open fires.
No unattended fires.
No firepit use during quiet hours (10:00 PM – 7:00 AM).
Firepits and grills may be restricted during local emergency conditions, check MassanuttenVillage.com or electronic sign at entrance for updates.

Charming Log “cabin”

6 bedrooms, hot tub, good size, well- furnished kitchen. A Table big enough for 13 of us to all eat together. However, Kids’ bedroom quite cold, bedroom blinds did not block light ( missing slats) and neighbors kept floodlights on all night.

Fun cabin getaway!

My friends and I take a cabin trip every year and this property has been one of our favorites. We loved the large dining table, it could fit all 9 of us with room to spare! Everyone raved about how comfortable the couches and beds were, it was the perfect place to watch movies and play games. The kitchen was pretty well-equipped, the only minor concern we had was with the dishwasher because it didn't clean the dishes very well, but not a problem for us and we handwashed the rest of the time. The hot tub and pool table were nice bonuses and the location of the cabin was perfect for the activities we planned for the weekend. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay and had no major issues during our long weekend. Would definitely recommend a stay and hope to be back again next year!

Beautiful Home

We had a great experience with this booking/stay!! Everything was just as advertised! The home is located in the heart of the resort!! And close to many great local businesses!!! We even were able to do a short hike at Shenandoah which was only about 15min away!!! We highly recommend this home! Communication with the host was great and check in/check out was seamless. Great long weekend with family. Loved sitting around the fire table each evening. We had everything we needed, and there was lots to do in the surrounding area, including pumpkin picking, breweries, Blue Ridge Parkway, and little out-of-the-way thrift stores and restaurants.

Short Weekend Getaway

Pictures were accurate, however ones were not included of the outside of the house. Didn't find out until we got there that the driveway is EXTREMELY steep and parking is VERY limited. Also, we discovered too late that the "main level" of the house is UPSTAIRS, and it was very difficult for my mother to navigate the steps to get to that level. House is definitely not handicap accessible. The hot tub was not hot when we arrived (took until the next morning to heat up) and the propane ran out on the fire table the first night, but was taken care of the next morning. Also, there was no steps for the hot tub even though a set are shown in the pictures.

Great stay!

We had a great stay at this property. House was as pictured and advertised. Plenty of space for everyone - we had ten people, adults and kids. Kids loved the bunk bed room. Kitchen is well-stocked and plenty of seating for big groups. Location was convenient for Shenandoah NP. Would come back!

Lots of problems

I would not recommend this property to anyone. The hosts were quick to respond when we notified them the day we arrived that the grill was dirty and broken and the coffee maker had old grounds left in it and was also broken. These old items were replaced with new ones the next day. We also had to tell the hosts that several beds had no sheets and one bed had a fitted sheet over a dirty mattress with no mattress pad. We had to ask for more dishwasher detergent and kitchen cleaning supplies. The cleaning service was sent out the next day to correct these problems. In addition to the things we reported within 24 hours of arrival, there were many cleanliness issues that we didn’t report like the dirty floors, dirty hot tub, dirty dishes and silverware, grungy cabinets inside and out, a dishwasher that wasn’t secured in the cabinet properly and had the wrong size basket in the bottom that fell down on top of the water sprayer and stopped it from working correctly. We also found an excessive number of spiders in beds and bedrooms sometimes getting in our clothes. The day we checked out, my husband found a bedbug on his leg that could have only come from the rental. He also had several bites on his head, arms and legs. We made several calls and sent an email to the hosts letting them know about the bedbugs, but they did not respond. We don’t know if that problem has been corrected.

Post NYE Family Trip

The property was lovely and very accommodating. Located in Massanutten resort, it was exceptionally convenient for accessing attractions. Beds were comfortable and kitchen was well appointed. The hot tub was filthy when we arrived and they sent someone to clean it and while it worked for a few minutes, it got right back to scummy and gross within an hour. After communicating w host company and sending more photos, they sent a different person to clean it who did a more thorough job and it appeared to remedy the issue but it was at the end of our stay and we couldn’t use it. The only note I have to the host is to be sure to clean the lid of the hot tub and to prevent erosion of the material, you must leave it open after cleaning/shocking. All of that considered, it was lovely, in spite of the disappointment of not being able to use the hot tub.

Family vacation

We are a large family, my husband and I, adult children, spouses and grandchildren. We’ve been doing a post Christmas vacation for 4 years now. This house was perfect for us. The kids loved the first level, the bunk room is amazing! We were all able to eat at the huge kitchen table and play games there as well. We skied, tubed and did the water park. All were in close proximity to the house. We mostly ate out or ordered in and the options were great. Would love to come back next year.

Weekend get away with family

Hot tub was low, but management didn't get it filled. One of the bathrooms had mode behind toilet. Some of the floors had damage that needs to be repaired. Had issue to get some of the TV to work. light on back deck had issues.

Summer family reunion

Plenty of space for our family of 15 with 8 young adults and teenagers. House has a great layout and flow. The AC broke the 2nd day of our stay. Fortunately there were plenty of fans and the nights cooled off. Out of anyone’s control. Hosts very quick and professional to respond to our questions or concerns. Our family definitely wants to return to Massanutten in the future!
