Worst experience at Sonesta Milwaukee

Where do I start? Well first off I reserve two rooms. I calles the hotel ro informed them that we would arrive much later than midnight and they said that was dine and they would notate the account. My family and I arrived at 5 am on the 25 but paid for the 24 thru 28 February rhis month. I had to stand there for 10 mins after we arrive to be let into the lobby. Then was told our reservation had been canceled and we were charged a no show fee. After ten mins we were able to check in. Got to the rooms and the bathrooms were nasty and in my room it looked as if someone had shaved in the shower. Only one set of towels. Now for the bedding in both rooms the bedding had black stains on them there was stains all on the headboard and light fixtures. The carpet smelled like feet and the chair at the desk was stain badly. One of the pillows had a smell and a nasty yellow stain on it. Room service never came to clean the room ask about service and was told there was no service and no one xould come clean the rooms or give clean bedding. I had to go out an s buy cleaning supplies and sheetsfor beds. This was the worst experience I have ever had. Front desk was not helpful at all. Whenever I go to Milwaukee this was the place we always stayed at, but no more.!!

The property is currently under construction so the restaurant is not open, but they did have Convince store setup that was nice. Not every room has a refrigerator in it. But the staff was very Accommodating as we have toddler and need access to refrigerator.

We have stayed here many times and won’t be back. The hot tub was closed, didn’t find out until we walked down there. Would have been nice to have a sign at desk or be told at check in. They don’t use fitted sheets, it was a flat sheet that moves all over, and it was stained. Our keys wouldn’t work after using them twice. Thankfully someone was in the room to let the other one in. Informed front desk and they didn’t seem to care.

Property decor is a bit dated but it looks like some remodeling is going on. It is clean and beds are comfortable. Staff are very nice and helpful. I will definitely stay here again.

Hot tub and restaurant was under renovation which was disappointing to hear. Had to make 2 noise complaints to other guests who were being extremely loud but staff listened and it was resolved. No microwave or fridge in room though which was kinda of weird. Otherwise not bad.

The restaurant is closed but they used to serve breakfast. Sometime in the last 60 days, they stopped serving breakfast. I was unaware there was no meal options. I would not have booked the location if I knew and wasn't told when I arrived to check in
