We have stayed here for at least the past 20 yrs and this place had been our “go to” lodging at least twice per yr. We are disappointed that they increasingly have increased their parking fees. Keep in mind that they own the on premise parking at the hotel. Parking had now jumped to $15/day plus they add tax which makes parking $16/day. This means my 3 night getaway is now and additional $48.REALLY?? I feel nickel and dimed. Also, since we had arrived 1 1/2 hrs earlier than the 3pm check in, I called to inquire if our room was ready. They said “yes” but then proceeded to tell me if I wanted to check in 1 1/2 hrs early, I would need to pay a $30 early checkin fee. I said “no thank you”. Again a nickel snd dime scheme. Since my husband and I decided to stay a 4th night in the area, we chose another place in nearby Pacific Grove. Time to finally “move on” and find another place in the Monterey Bay Area that wants my business and won’t nickel and dime its patrons.
