The Tides Hotel was in a great location. So close to walking to town. Our room was comfortable and clean. We did have a river view but unfortunately with the tide being out, we didn't get to see that.

The restaurant and staff were absolutely fantastic. The room itself was clean, tidy and comfortable. Great for a one night stay. The room we had was quite small and a bit on the high side in price for what it was.

Quirky artwork throughout hotel was a joy. Indoor and outdoor dining areas were excellent and food was good. Our king executive room was very comfortable. The spa shower and good quality shampoo, conditioner and body wash were an unexpected treat and greatly appreciated. Fresh air from door to balcony was appreciated. Great location for all Nelson CBD has to offer.

I really loved the little reading area partway up the stairs very comfortable and cosy, the staff were great very helpful and the food in the restaurant was amazing. Would definitely stay here again.

Great experience. Very comfortable, clean and spacious room. There wasn’t any noise whatsoever so we had an amazing rest. The ladies in the reception were remarkably nice and welcoming.

Comfy bed, great little shared patio out to the river. Very convenient to bus travel into town. It was a bit loud/not soundproof. I had to shut the bathroom door and wear earplugs at night (thankfully I keep them with me) because I could hear the next room over through the bathroom vent and hear out to the hallway. Staff was friendly and helpful — breakfast was tasty.

Very tired hotel. Bed was comfortable but the noise from surrounding rooms and hall were very noisy. Food average. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Not at all good value for money. Wouldn't recommend.
