Ac in hallway to room was broke. Ac in room was set on 78 upon arrival so it was hot and smelled like a wet dog (even after ac was on) Handle to tub was broke so reported to front desk, they put the handle back on only for it to fall off after first use. Paid an insane amount for the room considering it was Mardi Gras and they had no available parking so they referred me to a garage that I got a discounted rate of $40 a night. Would have went elsewhere but no rooms where available nor would they refund me. But I can promise I won’t be back.

the Marriott Courtyard in New Orleans—where hospitality takes a backseat to blank stares. Check-in was a thrilling 15-minute silent film, as staff stared at their screen, avoiding eye contact. Eventually, Madison, exuding all the warmth of a broken ice machine, informed us that our suite was unavailable. No apology, just a downgrade to a standard room—sweetened with a single drink at the bar as “compensation.” How generous. Our new luxury accommodations welcomed us with the delightful aroma of moisture. The hotel? A charming relic of outdated décor, complete with five mismatched carpets on the fourth floor, elegantly held together by duct tape. The door frames are artfully scratched, and while someone tried updating the rooms, they clearly lost motivation halfway through—probably lured away by their free drink. And the best part? We still paid a bargain of $700 CAD (taxes in) for this Mardi Gras masterpiece. If you love overpriced rooms, apathy, and the scent of disappointment, the Marriott Courtyard is your dream destination. Just be sure to savor that drink—it’s the best part of the stay.

Great room, good price

Hotel was amazingly convenient to the conference center. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was super helpful! My o ly complaint was that there was only 1 elevator working and it was slow as molasses!
