We LOVE LaQuinta, we enjoy staying at these hotels! This particular one was walkable distance to the French Quarter and all attractions esp for Mardi Gras, which was great! Unfortunately, would NOT recommend this one. They don’t clean the rooms daily or at all unless you book 24hrs in advance. There was a poop stain on the sheet, we had to get new sheets. The toilet didn’t flush well at all. The tub was stained, looked dirty. We had to ask for more towels, toiletries- soap, toilet paper. The carpet was filthy, stained. There was only one working elevator. The “free” breakfast was 6-9 only, and the food was exactly the same daily. Cold, greasy food. Sausage, fake round eggs, bagels, only strawberry/banana yogurt, waffles. ONE toaster with 2 slots, but one side didn’t work. Lots of hidden fees, well over the price we paid prior with Expedia. Disappointed, would not recommend.

The room was large and could use a couch and coffee table. Handle on bathroom door was missing. There was no complementary shampoo or conditioner. The breakfast could add bacon, and there were no lids for coffee on the go.

The parking sucks. You need a room card to enter the building and the elevators. I left a phone charging cord in the room when we checked out. I called them right away, they said they would talk to the cleaning person and call me back. They never called back!
